One of the better tournaments I've watched in the last couple years. What a finish. I was happy for Rory, but would have preferred Furyk after seeing him tear up at the end there.

That must be quite the feeling when you're an older guy just hanging around because you can and suddenly you're front and centre on a huge tournament. I think they mostly just play figuring the chances of a week like this are miniscule.

Brooke opens the tourney with 5 under and then 4 under today. Currently T-8th and 3 shots back of the leaders.

nick taylor feeling it today and jumping up the leaderboard. Currently climbed into the top 10. Up 16 spots on the day for a T-7. Many of the leaders yet to come. Lots of golf left.

He's got a shot at this. In round 2 he threw out a double bogey on a par 3 after repeated disaster in the bunkers. Had he par'd the hole, he'd be tied for the lead.

Mackenzie Hughes up 20 spots into the top 15. He's struggled lately. Good for him. Hope he keeps it up tomorrow.

Brooke is yet to tee off today. Lots of birdies on the course for those who are out there. Brooke will get her looks so she needs to stay composed if she misses one with the putter. If her putter gets hot she'll blow this course apart in my opinion.

That dude follows the Monday qualifiers, which I find fascinating. It's incredible what the guys who don't have status have to go through to make a cheque. As an example, 65 (-7) didn't get you into a playoff for this week's Web event.

Luke Donald is a story worth watching. He's on a major medical and this is start 2 out of 15. Needs to earn 336 Fed Ex points to keep his card.

Brooke tossed up 3 bogeys with her 6 birdies yesterday. She's in 15th now. She'll need to go 7 or 8 under to crack the top of the leaderboard.


On the PGA Tour, Nick Taylor climbed a few spots after he finished as some of the leaders struggled down the stretch. He tees off later today in T6. The leaders are spread out in front of him, but he is tied with a big group and a large group 1 shot back. If he falters even 1 stroke against the field today he'll drop out of the top ten or possibly the top 15. He needs another 2 or 3 under to get a big paycheque.

Mackenzie hughes is teeing off now. He is currently T-15. The T-15 group is huge. If Hughes drops 1 shot to the field he goes from 15 to 26. A big day for both Canadians to stay focused and climb up a bit.

Sloan is even for the day and in 31st.

No Canadians made the cut in the Web.com tour.

Now something I learned yesterday in the 5 minutes I got to watch.....Jason Kokrak was born in Canada but plays under the US Flag.

He knocks in a 44 footer for eagle on the first hole to jump into a tie with Taylor and 6th in the tourney.
