This team won 3 in a row 8 times this season. Darryl has led a team back from a 3-0 deficit. Just need our Vezina nominee goaltender to be slightly above average and we got a decent chance.

Tough ask. But the Flames were definitely the better team last night. Guessing that will carry over to game 5.
Win game 5 and we’re back in it.

To add to it Muller and Toffoli were part of the Habs team that won game 1, lost 3 straight to the Leafs, and then won 3 straight to take the series last year.
Need the veterans to really get the team dialed and just win 1 game at a time. Get the win at home where we have outscored the Oilers 24-17 and have a 3-1 record this year

The Flames had 10 game winning streak? The Oilers had long losing streaks
See Markstrom thread for other opinion

Massive pessimist here, but...
Win a game at home.
Find a way to steal one on the road, which we're overdue for.
Game 7. At home.
Seems doable! I'd much rather be coming home on a 3-1 deficit than heading on the road!

We don't need superstar goaltending to start winning games, solid backup numbers would do. We have a solid backup.
We can do what Carolina is doing with their backup.

Yes!
Take after Carolina with Raanta. It's paid off for them.
Markstrom might as well be considered injured with the numbers he's putting up.
Give Vladar a chance with a short leash. What do you have to lose? The goaltending can't get worse and the Edmonton shooters don't know DV.

Darryl has a large amount of confidence with his #1's. He's all in with Markstrom barring a legit injury.

Win this next one at home and we're right back in it. One game at a time.
I'll give the Oilers credit, they've been WAY more consistent this series, and they do deserve to be up.
But this thing ain't over. NYR came back down 3-1 in the 1st round to take out the Pens. It's possible, and if any team would let a 3-1 series lead slip away I gotta think it's the Oilers.
Markstrom has to be on his game though, no more stinkers allowed. He's been the biggest shock of the 2nd round, but he's shown before he can be elite.

It's the Oilers with Mike Smith in net....the Flames can definitely still win this.

All the Oilers have been is opportunistic.
Odd man breaks account for 80% of their goals in this series, and have been mostly chasing the play between those tallies.
It is deserved, but it hasn't been that impressive.
Flames have been flat and uncoordinated for more periods than not.

I’m positive because game 4 gave us two gifs that will be gifts for years to come.
That kassian / archibald collision and the smith goal are beauties. I will remember those for years and hope to see those in many PGT to come.

Out of the major sports in North America that plays a 7 game series (NHL, NBA, MLB), the NHL leads with the most comebacks down 3-1 in a series. 63 Total. 31 successful, 32 unsuccessful.
Rangers did it in the first round against Crosby/Malkin and the Pens Flames>Rangers
Pens>Oilers
Crosby/Malkin>McDavid/Draisatl
Last year Montreal won game 1 against the leafs, they went on to lose three straight to trail 3-1. Then they came back and won three straight to clinch the series. Toffoli should still remember that.
Finally, the Flames have forced a game 7 twice in history after trailing the series 3-1. Both times.......84 and 91 against no other than the Oilers.

This is actually really good to hear.

Yup. The options now are to see the task at hand as highly unlikely (the odds would indicate that) and then wallow in a pool of inevitable despair or to look forward and hope that the Flames will achieve the unlikely and end up with one of the most memorable come backs in franchise history against their hated rivals. Let's do this!

Let us come back in glorious fashion and make Smith's 200 foot gaffe all that more special.
It deserves to be a highlight of a much larger bed ####ing.

It's 50% of teams forcing a game 7 win after being down 3-1. Not a 50% chance to come back FROM 3-1 down.
It's 15% if i remember correctly. Still not terrible . 1/7 chance

The opponent being Edmonton probably bumps that to a 3/7 shot.
