Icon41 Sharks fire Head Coach Bob Boughner and assistant coaches

Sharks reportedly close to hiring a rookie GM. Looks like whoever it is wanted to choose their coach off the bat.

That rookie is coming into a mess of a situation. Really curious to know how they work around some of those bad contracts.

If I were them, I would bring in a coach like Tortorella so some of those guys can have big years - then try and trade a bunch next off-season.

Maybe they are close to getting a new GM and their choice said he wanted his own coach.

Maybe when the dominoes in Tocchet or Trotz was not going to Winnipeg fell, it meant or means the Sharks are landing one of them and the Sharks didn't think those guys would be available at the conclusion of their season.
