hmm i think he is the most deserving on the team of healthy players. not sure if he would have made it if they didnt have to take one player from each team.

The only other one would maybe be irving but he doesnt have the wins other guys have

Irving should have gotten picked for sure. Most games played. Near the tops in wins and stats.

has he been a top dman in the league or is this simply a function of every team getting one player on the all star roster?

Was fully expecting Irving to be the Heats representative. Good for Brodie though.

Just a function of every team getting one player in the All Star game.

I know Brodie is quickly becoming a fan fav here in Abby, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising that Heat fans voted for him. However, I would've expected Irving, Keith, or even Nemisz before Brodie.

Nevertheless, good for him.

The proud history of Flames' Defence AHL all-stars continues (4 out of the past 6 years):

11 - Brodie
10 - Jaffray
09 - Palin
08 - Pardy
07 - McElhinney
06 - Giordano (injury replacement for Richie Regehr)

Can't believe Irving didn't make it. The starting goalie for the Western conference has played about 15 games this season - what a joke.

Maybe it's a factor of having played so many games he'd rather have the rest.

West winning 4-1 with more than 8 minutes in the first period. Wow Looks like they are having fun.

This game is pretty weak. I know they don't want to throw any hits, but they aren't even trying to be flashy offensively.

I got bored pretty quick.
