The 'TERF Wizard Franchise' is gonna give them one of the biggest and most profitable video games of the last few years though

If you don't think Harry Potter is gonna be everywhere now after this...

They should start giving out a no prize for pontificating about these inconsistencies. Bring it full circle.

I would be surprised if that is accurate.
If a studio the size of WBD is pinning all of their hopes on the results of one movie then they are already boned.
Whats $1B going to do in the grand scheme of the operating budget of WBD?
And if a studio is pinning all of their hopes on the results of one movie, for that movie to be 'The Flash' would constitute legal insanity.

Yeah, they have Dune Part Two, Mad Max and Barbie coming out this year as well as their DCU stuff. They make some money.
Though I agree that their marketing budgets seem to be tiny compared to other studios.

Well, I'm not going to spend time sifting through their meaningless financial statements to determine their financial health, but rarely does the prospect of one or the other partners of a significant merger going bankrupt immediately afterwards get missed in even the most rudimentary due diligence process.

That's because they're probably on to something. The over the top marketing from some studios accomplishes nothing in the world of social media. As soon as RT scores and YouTube videos come out, it dashes whatever marketing was done.

But if they hadn't been terrible movies it would have been different. My kids are huge Harry Potter fans but have no interest in seeing the 3rd Fantastic Beasts movie because the 2nd was such a train wreck.

When you write a story but instead of making it about the main character you make it about the side character and the main plot has been described in detail including how the climactic scene ends and you have handcuffed yourself with a blood pact and the main Villian who the hero was ret conned into loving to avoid criticism is a Nazi it’s a little tough to write 5 decent movies out of it.

Ant Man 3 was disappointing, didn’t enjoy the whole made up world at all.
And possibly the most disappointing mid credits scene in any Marvel movie I can remember.

Oddly enough, if JK wasnt a TERF the game would probably be far less successful. It was one of the most popular streamed games ever during its prerelease and lots of those streamers would have had zero interest without the fuss over JK. It was enough to get a ton of people who had lost interest in HP to check it out.

I don't know where else this would go but Tarantino is making another movie. His last.
Quote:
Quentin Tarantino is back for the last time.
The filmmaker behind some of the most indelible movies of the past three decades, Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood among them, is putting together what sources say is being billed as his final movie.
The Movie Critic is the name of the script that Tarantino wrote and is prepping to direct this fall, according to sources.
Logline details are being kept in a suitcase, but sources describe the story as being set in late 1970s Los Angeles with a female lead at its center.

Wasn't the last couple of movies he directed his "last"?

Nope. He always said he wanted to do 10 films. He got pissy about the hateful 8 script leaking and threatened to walk away but that’s standard petulant director stuff

Shazam 2 is a solid movie, has the same humor and heart as the first one. While I think the first one is a better film, this is still miles better than Black Adam or Ant Man 3. Its not going to redefine the genre and if you are experiencing superhero fatigue this won't change your mind, but if you're looking for a fun enjoyable superhero movie give this one a try.

A fair number of bad reviews from the critics, although it now seems like it's a trend for critics to leave bad reviews for anything superheroes related.

I think the film definitely suffers from sequilitis. Its bigger, louder and more action scenes than the first but at the expense of some of the heart that made the first one so great
