Trevor Linden probably too nice for this job
Βased on what is being discussed in Vancouver today, I highly doubt that anything will happen. Jim Benning is completely convinced that he will be the team’s POHO from here forward. I think the Aquellinis like having someone malleable in charge, and Benning seems to fit that profile.

The Canucks are in trouble and are going nowhere.

So it's more like if we doubled down on Jay Feaster. Sounds like a plan!

Yeah, something like that. I tend to think Blaster86's take is probably closest to what has actually happened.

I think if we end up getting one of Wahlstrom, Boqvist or Bouchard, Benning's stance stays the same as Linden's.

Weird. Given that it remains an open question whether Hughes will even sign this season.

And that's I think where the disconnect became a bridge too far. I suspect Benning and Weisbrod (and ownership) are pushing hard to sign him and Linden saw no point yet.

Quinn waits a year and all those 4 years expire with his elc. Kind of makes sense now.
