I think it was supposed to be that hockey suite video that was put together. That was the bombshell.

Whoever thought that was a big deal doesn’t know this party or province very well.

Ya, you would think people would care about corruption and wasteful spending, but I guess it only warrants concern if Trudeau does it.

I'm pretty excited for when we'll have to go to confessional before buying a pack of condoms.

That presumably have had holes punched in them.

Only if you are over 18, otherwise it's abstinence only. Solid plan.

Anyone else remember 2 elections ago when people were justifying voting for this party because they thought Jason Kenney would keep the wing nuts in check? Good times

Fun fact. Kenney got 13000 more yes votes in his leadership review than Smith did.

What does this mean? That the UCP are a rural, "Take Back Alberta", Christofacist Party now. Where did those 13,000 UCP votes go and where did the 13,000 members go? Was the voting process different this time? Did they go to Nenshi and the NDP? Asking for a friend.

They didn't go anywhere, the voting process was changed this time around to in person only if I understand correctly. Don't go to to the convention, you don't get to vote.

Exactly. 4900 out of some 50,000 members or only 10% of UCP members voted. Put another way, our government is being steered by 0.1% of the province's population.

To be fair that’s pretty much the case in our system regardless of who’s at the helm, the issue is who is steering the direction right now.

Except that until this agm, the entire membership could vote, not just the small percentage that are crazy and/or bored enough to waste a weekend in Red Deer with a political party.

The fact that every one of their bat#### insane policy resolutions passed should be signal enough who is in charge, who is being catered to, and what they will now feel they can get away with next go around should be absolutely terrifying to any Albertan with a functioning brain cell.

The most worrisome part is that they will use that result as proof that they have a mandate from the people to follow through with the bat#### insane. Although I'm sure that we are in for more far left field resolutions before this is all over.

What hasn't been touched yet? Mental health controls will be ruled by the church. Indigenous communities have to work through the provincial government and not directly with the feds. Rice to be outlawed as not native to Alberta. Minimum wage relaxed to help employers. Lots of goodies out there, and they will feel justified in doing anything, because of the cheers they heard on the weekend.

For sure Smith will be further emboldened by this. Watch for APP 2.0 and more…

Oh look, the stupidity is contagious. ####ing idiots.

The Alberta government is permanently cutting off the flow of publicly funded vaccines to community medical clinics, save a select few, sparking yet another wave of concern from health-care providers.

As CBC News previously reported, shipments of publicly funded vaccines to community medical clinics were halted in April when a distribution contract expired.

A replacement was never hired and, as a result, family physicians did not receive COVID-19 and flu vaccines for the fall immunization campaign.

Clinics have been unable to access a number of other publicly funded vaccines for months, including the shot that protects against pertussis (whooping cough).

I guess the future of society is just every person for themselves. This should work out wonderfully.
