Penny was so close. Agree that having that relay final yesterday near her 100 m heat probably didn’t set her up well for the 100 m final. Still incredible performance by her in a crazy fast final.

early results suggest it may be a very fast track in Tokyo- the women were flying in the 100m heats- the semis and finals are going to be incredible even without Richardson
while they wont be factors moving forward both Canadians Bingham and Emmanuel advance to the semis- nice to see

Steve Armitage is a legend but his age is really showing. Voice is cracking and not as descriptive as used to be...but he’s 77 and this is his 17th(!) Olympics.
And a couple times said that x event has “only” been competed by women since 1976 in Montreal...that’s 45 years ago now!
