I say that based on an interview with Darryl and his lofty expectations.
I think Mackey, Ruzicka, Wolf, most likely have the best chance.
Zary, Pelletier, to make a push???

Zary needs another year in the AHL.
I think Wolf gets a couple of spot starts.

I think the list indeed is Mackey, Ruzicka and perhaps one more (Kirkland, Phillips, etc)

Wonder were Juuso factors in.

So Raffl’s fight with Tkachuk caused a hand injury which influenced his play from that point onward, and wasn’t it Raffl falling on Tanev that finished him off for the rest of the playoffs? Pretty effective goonery.

And Chucky has to be smarter than to fall for it. He has to mature and know when to pick his spots.

Pelletier is in your etc right? I'm kind of banking on him playing a role in the middle 6 next season.

Zary isn't ready. Pelletier might be (he is the best bet, IMO). Wolf isn't ready. Ruzicka maybe, but he has to take another step in order to be a full time NHLer. Mackey maybe, simply because some spots on the D might open up.

I think Sutter was trying to be encouraging to the kids - hey, go work hard this summer, there are going to be lots of jobs available in the fall! But then the fall comes...

One guy graduating? Almost certainly. Two? Maybe. Three? Not a chance IMO, but we'll see.

At some point we need to throw these prospects in ....I'm excited and hopeful with the heat being here next year that the emphasis for these guys being same town and all that they'll be pushing really hard to pass vets and get inserted when the time comes.
I'm telling ya ....I have a great feeling about having our farm in the same town. ...things be lookin up

Wolf may not be ready but he is quickly running out of things to prove at the AHL level. I think he plays NHL games next season, the only question should be how many starts.

Wonder if we can get a high pick for Vladar. He had a strong first half to the season,, was a bit shaky the second half, but not bad at all. If not, I keep him and hope he has an even better season and then look to move him for assets. Don't want to rush Wolf, but the guy is dominating the AHL as a rookie.

Maybe a token game. Or - more likely - be a backup if there are injuries.

But there is no rush. He is still a boy physically. Let's not risk ruining him by rushing him.
