Or he is but is still embarrassed/ashamed and doesn't want to make any excuses.

Wrong, he doesn't want to make excuses.

Tre confirmed he had a hand injury.

What a stupid thing to say anyways.

Tanev and Zadarov were both severely hindered by their injuries, those were two huge pieces we needed to help shut down the oilers offense so of course it played a factor in the outcome of the series, and of course people are going to point it out.

Would have been nice if we had the depth to overcome it, but clearly we didn't.

Half the team, heck half the league had a banged up hand.

Still have to wonder how much the hand injury affected Tkachuk's performance.

Went back and watched:

Kylington wins the puck properly and doesn’t do one of his acrobatic screw ups on the second Dallas goal in game 6 and:

A) There isn’t a chance for Dallas, where Tanev has to scramble back in the first place and
B) If Kylington does at least stay on his feet after being beaten, he doesn’t trip Tanev, therefore Tanev isn’t flat on the ice when the goal goes in gets and cross checked by Raffl, where he hurt himself.

Tanev is then fine for Game 1,2,and 3….safe chance that Game 3 doesn’t have 4 odd man rushes resulting in Oiler goals.

Ps and watching Dallas highlights, Rick Ball was superb.

I suspected (like many others) that Tkachuk hurt his hand in the fight in the first game. He was never quite the same after that.

So all of this from the Dallas series which was a tough tough series

I really hope that moves are still made here in the off-season and that no excuses will be made IF the bulk of this core returns.
I'd love nothing better than 3 or 4 players from thr heat to make the jump .....even better would be them winning thr Calder cup just to taste the experience of pro hockey , winning, learning what it takes etc.

We need to be faster, meaner and have some better things going on between our ears because the series we just lost was a monumental embarrassment that the league made so much worse by having their right to dictate on almost every level ruining in my mind this great game.

Great agenda NHL. Pat yourselves on the back for the biggest cluster I've watched since about 1980.

Well be back next year .....and watch out . If we don't back down from anything we'll go further.....unless of course the NHL decides to pull the same shenanigans on us next year.

I am curious which 3 or 4 Heat players you think can make the jump, and if they achieve that goal

The way Chucky was shooting the puck in round 1 game 7 after busting up his hand, he must've vacuumed up the biggest line of coke with painkillers.

As much as I like Tkachuk and his antics and through the leg goals during regular season ... he has yet to show that he is ready for playoffs.

Yep I see 10 of hit 15 playoff points over 4 times in playoffs came from this year.... but eye test he doesn’t show up most of the time.
