-one British Airways (LHR)
-one Hainan (PEK)
-two Air Canada wide bodies (LHR & FRA)
-one Air Canada wide body (NRT)
-one WestJet 767 (LGW)
It may be trickier with narrowbody flights on WestJet and Air Canada to the US and international though. American carriers may be easier too, but early morning departures when there are multiple United birds on the ground could make it tricky.

True. It's the lack of seating at the individual gates that I think I dislike.
And slight correction, it will be two Westjet 767 (LGW and OGG/HNL) although never occupying gates at the same time and maybe not on the same days even.

True, but if you are flying WS to Hawaii you'll be kept separate from the WS flight to LGW. Transborder versus international.

Quick YYC question for an AC flight: Last time I flew from YYC to YVR with Air Canada, the line for security in the AC terminal was absolutely insane as they were doing construction. It took us almost 45 minutes to get through for a 7am flight, which we just about missed as a result. We're taking the same flight tomorrow and are wondering how much time we should give ourselves. Is the terminal AC uses finished with construction and what is the security line like?

I just booked YYC-PEK with Hainan
Business class is $2500 return right now which is CHEAP. Like half the price it usually is.
Economy is $750 return.
Looking forward to grabbing me a Chinese Halloween costume

I flew last week and it was a nightmare. I got there 2 hours before my flight (to Halifax) and had no time to do anything once I finally made it through the line. Just an absolute #### show.

My dog is a therapy dog, who is part of the Pre-board PALS program. The airport started the program and we visit at busy travel times, to help with people who are nervous flyers, stressed out about flight delays, or just want to pet a dog because they are missing theirs.
We also visit with staff who have to deal with the above people.
During one of those nights when the lineup to get through security at Concourse A stretched across the building, we just walked up and down the line, visiting people who were waiting.

Is there anything in the works to introduce a TSA Precheck equivalent in Canada? It's so annoying having to take all your #### out of your bags and even place the bag itself into a tote.

The airport has now been officially renamed "YYC Calgary International Airport".
Meh, I think this was a missed opportunity to restore the McCall name into it and honour some aviation history in our city.

Absolutely. Would have loved to see something like Frederick McCall International Airport to honour the man, and the shortened "McCall" is nice and easy too. Just like "Pearson". With the new terminal on the verge of opening, it would have been a perfect opportunity to make a splash with an announcement like that.
And a little ceremony for the name "change"? Pretty silly. They've been working the YYC branding in for years now, and I don't think that anyone really cares that "YYC" is officially in the name now. But I guess they got themselves a little bit of airtime on the news, and that's probably what they were going for.

WTF? What a stupid thing to do. Basically it is now called Calgary Calgary International Airport. Dumb dumb dumb. I completely agree with McCall. What a missed opportunity.

Here's an article and video on the new Calgary airport. I see they're going to the kiosk system(Automated Passport Clearance) at Canadian customs, just like Vancouver has. That will speed things up for sure.

Apparently there are no water fountains at the new terminal, which I think is pretty lame.
No moving walkways either.

There are moving walkways on the arrivals level from your gate to Customs (at least part of the way), but none on the departures level to get you to your gate.
