Bouwmeester and Parayko looked great last night, at least from my vantage point.

Well, he’s made it to the finals. I think that’s more than “jack”. But look back at the posts. IIRC the predicted losses in each round for him.

I think the key thing is that Bouwmeester in Calgary was counted on to be the man. He was given top minutes and used in all situations. He was unable to carry that load, but was sure paid to and was played like he was expected to.

In St. Louis, he is not counted on to be the man. He is not the best defender on the team, or even on his pairing. Colton Parayko is a heck of a defenseman.

Incidentally, Parayko and O’Reilly both were +20 ish

St Louis has a really good blue line. For as much as people here love the depth and Andersson/ Valimaki / Kylington, Vince Dunn and Bortuzzo are a great third pair.

Oh, and what does he get for making the finals? I can't wait to see him hoist that made it to the finals cup and get his made it to the finals ring. When the Bruins destroy the Blues that just means St Louis was the last ones to lose.

I'm not sure why you are this sour on him. He means pretty much nothing to most Calgary fans by now. But the posts I am referring to said St. Louis pretty much couldn't win even one round with him on the team.

The biggest issue with Bouwmeester in Calgary was that Brent Sutter was a ####ing moron.

You didn't think he was a totally different player under Hartley? (Albeit for one half season) Or not when covering for Butler?

I remember when the Blues were terrible early in the season and Bouw was a healthy scratch for a game
