Kre-O has the license for Star Trek. I don't think their quality standards are as high as Lego but if you're desperate you can look for their sets.

Mega Bloks, the red headed step-child of Lego, had the license for Star Trek.

There are Star Trek models on Rebrick (with instructions):

How do you go about getting all those bricks if you don't already have a LEGO room?

Those Star Trek models look horrible. I think I will have to work something out with LDD.. Do they still let you make a kit and order the stuff you create in LDD?

The Brickwares booth at the Comic Expo has Simpsons mini figs. They aren't officially out until May.

The Simpson's episode on May 4th (May the fourth be with you) is Lego themed. All the characters in the episode are made of bricks...

So did anybody else make it out to Legofest yesterday? It actually was a lot better than I was expecting. I appreciate the number of hands-on activities, and the lack any apparent pushiness to buy stuff. The event lasted about 4.5 hrs, but my kids and their friends seemed to get really enthralled by some of the activities, so I didn't get an opportunity to visit every display / centre.

I wish they had more of the Technics stuff to play around with, but otherwise I think it was a pretty good event and my 4 and 8 year olds were kept pretty busy for the entire time.

My kids had lots of fun at Legofest. Mostly just playing with Lego, and moving from station to station after 15-20 minutes.

Yeah, I went with my oldest who had a blast. There was a good range of activities too - some good for the younger kids, while others were geared towards older kids.

I was pleasantly surprised that not only was the Lego being sold the same price as in the store, but one of the workers told me we'd get a voucher (30% off coupon) on the way out we could use to buy the set at Toys'R'Us for cheaper.
