If you're easily distracted by shiny things or are more interested in production value and things 'looking cool' then you might like it.
If you want such mundane tripe as; plot, story-line, character development, etc. then you're going to be in for a bad time.
When we saw Avatar in the theatre it was an experience because of the amazing visuals and 3D effects. However it wasn't nearly as good 2nd time around watching at home due to the actual movie being pretty pedestrian.

With the state of Movie Theaters as it is, I am wondering if there isnt some Buyer's Remorse for the studios greenlighting those 18 Avatar sequels.

Those sequels are such a funny thing. Are there Avatar fans out there anticipating the next one? Who are they? Disney's best use of the investment is probably to convert them into a Disney+ series, but I'm sure James Cameron would flip out and take his ball and go home.
I know its old, but stumbled across the Dark Crystal tonight, and even though I'm a lot older and more mature then when I first watched it Chamberlain is still fracking nightmare fuel.

I imagine they want to appease James Cameron and hope he writes and directs another Aliens or Terminator movie.
I know I'm 61 years late to the party, but does North by Northwest seriously end that way? That was...a choice.
Supposedly he was feuding with the Motion Picture Association over the fact that they had required him to re-dub a couple racy lines in the movie. So he just inserted that shot (which hadn't been in any previous script) into the final cut after the rest of the film had been approved, and never submitted that shot for approval.

WW84 is awful. Might be the worst of all the superhero movies. Lousy acting, lousy storyline. 3/10
I posted in the comic book movie thread but will add that I agree. I actually thought the acting was fine but make no mistake, the movie is a train wreck.

Watched another good Morgan Freeman and Keanu Reeves movie - "Chain Reaction"
Quote:
A student machinist (Keanu Reeves) finds himself caught in a maze of secret government cover-ups, hi-tech espionage and murder after working on a groundbreaking scientific experiment. Eddie Kasalivich (Reeves) and Lily Sinclair (Rachel Weisz) are part of a team of scientists who have developed a revolutionary new source of energy. But no sooner have they finished celebrating their triumph, than their lab is destroyed and the head of their team killed. Named as the main suspects, Eddie and Lily quickly realize their only hope lies with a powerful and mysterious bureaucrat (Morgan Freeman) who may or may not be on their side.

The final shot was surreal considering it was a movie released in 1959, but even the jammed match cut from the rescue on Mount Rushmore to the train carriage had me asking if I missed something. It seemed so obvious that Cary Grant's line as he pulls Eva Marie Saint up was dubbed, and it just jumps straight to the carriage. What in the general sense ####?
For such a critically acclaimed film, considered one of the greatest of all time, I felt like Hitchcock was playing a joke, but it kinda killed the film. It was such a stupid end to a great movie.

Such a needed movie after this year. Pixar hits it out if the park again similar to Inside Out but...somehow very different as well.
We had a movie night with the kids but... honestly the story is not really for kids. A little above the for sure. Good movie but at some point you do wonder who these studios are really making movies for.

Agreed. My boys are 6 and 7. They were bored, frankly.
Surprising to say that about a Pixar movie.
