SOLD: 2018 VW GTI - Loaded - low kms
https://www.autotrader.ca/a/volkswag.../19_11828401_/
Ad has all the details, but in short, its loaded with leather, tech package, driver assistance (self park, sensors, etc), low KMs (18k), wicked condition, upgraded/high quality summer & winter tires, full 3M front wrap, you name it, this has it.
Great car, probably the most fun car I've owner - but sadly the kids and their sh** mean its time for an SUV to hold more hockey bags.
SOLD
Cheaper than the units @ the local dealerships PLUS you save the GST.

Love buying a car from a guy that runs a tight ship. Your garage cleanliness and organization is 10/10. Car looks sweet, too.

In all honesty, the DSG in sport mode shifts so tight, plus the paddle shift makes it almost equal to the manual in terms of fun. It'll never quite get to the same level as a manual, I'll give it that, but in terms of resale and broad appeal (plus my wife can drive it) the DSG was a no brainer.

Just to tack on...don't let the automatic fool you. I have a 2016 Golf R w/ DSG (yes...wife doesn't drive manual so this was my only option) and it's really amazing. I don't miss a manual transmission especially coming from a 370Z. If you need a Golf GTI this one looks like an amazing value.

Yeah, and Ducay ate the lion's share of the depreciation. I've been looking for a GTI for my daughter and holy crap at a certain point they hold their value like almost nothing else. This is the sweet spot on low kms and modern fun car that will still be worth something when you're done with it. I'm forcing her to buy manual, though, as it seems if people don't learn manual as teens they don't bother (plus this is out of our budget, anyway).

Ya, its a great car and the value retention was one of the main reasons to go with something timeless like a GTI. You pay a bit more, but these top end trims are effectively Audis at a much more palatable price in terms of fit/finish and the options/comforts. You're getting more here than you do in a base-level unoptioned A3/Q3 by a mile and saving a tonne of cash.

Freaking cool car man. But I'm afraid I'm also saddled with little financial burdens called kids.

I have an newer A3, but I would be super happy to get a GTI. Its a great platform for smaller cars. Performance is fantastic for the engine.
There is some incremental value to the A3, its not exactly a rebadge, but if you want a sporty hatch this is a great value!
