Fully agreed on King’s English, very situational but really refreshing. I had it at home after a day of golfing and it was delightful

Trying my first brewery delivery. Much pricer than what you would pay at the liquor stores, but glad to support. 4 cans of local craft usually what, $16-18 at a liquor store, and looks like Im paying $21 per 4 with the delivery.

Was in Brooks yesterday and a guy at the gas station mentioned that one of the Breweries opened back up.

Went by (Piston Broke Breweing) and picked up some beer. Had the Scottish Ale when I got home and thought it was fantastic.

Their location is also a really cool old garage type place. Will have to stop by again and sit on the patio for a pint.

I tried them about two years ago, and I thought they were firmly in that, 'good but not memorable' category. They were too safe.

It looks like they've gone through a full rebrand with their packaging, but the only one of their lineup that is new and stands out as something that I want to try is the AM Ice Time coffee brew. They put it in a blonde ale, which is lighter than the normal coffee ale, and they are using Monogram house-brewed coffee. Many beer makers cheap out on the coffee part of the equation, and it shows.

Middle of the road when they started, I think they have upped their game in the last while. Had a mixed pack of their beers a couple of weeks ago, all solid. I like their pilsner and their pale ale.

Ya, I’m with InglewoodFan. Had them a couple of years ago and thought it was pretty mediocre at best, I’ve circled back and had a few more of their beers recently and have enjoyed them a lot more.

I too, am really intrigued by the AM Ice Time is

They have improved, as has 88. OT had a double ipa and imperial stout recently that were pretty phenomenal.

Four Winds never seems to miss. Everything they do is good, and Nectarous is one of their best.

I even think their pilsner is really good, and it's my least favourite species of beer.

I find 88 has either improved alot or somehow my taste has changed, tried them a few times and never did anything for me, but after urging from a buddy have been giving them a go again and quite favorable

did an order from Outcast recently - cracked my first one (5000) last night- will do again

They are often forgotten, but I find them definitely worth an order.

It's sold out now, but their "Bump, Set" was ridiculously good, and something a bit different. Flagstick, a pale ale - new England, we really love too.

Who did you order from? That seems expensive, and I've ordered delivery from a lot of places:

Snake lake: criminally underrated; fantastic beer.
Sawback: west coast IPA is perhaps one of my favourite beers
Banded peak
OT: bump, set is amazing.
88: double date, another great West coast dipa
Outcast: forgetful brewer...
Establishment: afternoon delight is great, also really loved jamrock for something different.
Blind man: all about long shadows!
Revival: had a rhubarb beer...it was ok.
Annex Ales: old stand by

Probably going to order from SYC from Edmonton next go around.

I like the Hefeweizen from Fahr in Turner Valley. It's a nice break from the IPAs I've been having lately.

Also most are free delivery if you order $75.

If you ordered a single 4 pack I sure hope youre not complaining that the brewery charged you $3 to deliver your tiny order across town, to your door, same day....

Ikea conversely is charging $5 for you to pick up your order, skip the dishes is probably double that fee is in store, what exactly are your expectations here?

We did a "virtual tasting" with Outcast on Saturday night. Patrick, one of owners/brewer walked us through six beers of theirs. There was about a dozen folks on the Zoom meeting, it was actually a lot of fun. I had never done one of these before and was wondering about the whole chatting with strangers thing but it was actually refreshing to just BS with people for a while. Beer people always seem to be good people.

Laura from Prairie Dog was also on the Zoom, and her and Patrick were both very frank about what what they are facing to re-open.

Grabbed a couple cans of Fahr's radler yesterday. Can see it being super refreshing if it is hot out, but it is just a touch too sweet for me. But on a whole, Fahr does some impeccable German style beers. By all accounts, the owner is pretty fanatical about getting them right.

Grabbed beers at Collective on Tuesday, forgot how great that place is. You can get everything buy the can, not by the pack. So you can get 1 or 2 of things you want to try. Grabbed a wider variety that I would have, looking forward to trying some new things. Especially the bomber of stout from Grain Bin.

Got a delivery from Blindman last week, had a can of their Cascadian Dark Ale last night. So nice and malty, but with just the right hops behind. Loved the flavours on it, so much so that it is tied for my top rated beer on Untappd. Also got some of their Florida Weisse and their 24-2 Stock Ale, but given that I have only had them as the 6th and 7th beer of the night, I will reserve judgement until I get another one tasted.

Was that the lemon radler? My wife can't have grapefruit, and it's tough to find ones she can drink. Where could I find it in town?
