Will be interesting to see what Lindholm gets from Boston. Quickest re-trade ever?

One of Boston or Vancouver is adding a lot or they're both adding a little to Pitts. Debrusk is a cap hit to make this work for Boston.

Boston needs a center
Vancouver needs a winger.

Was pondering this idea yesterday while drivin around. DeBrusk the one to be disappointed.

Ehh, he gets to play with Crosby for a few months, that’s pretty sweet

Who called this exact trade in the speculation thread earlier today? Impressive if it comes to fruition.

How much does CP blow up if Lysenko goes to the Penguins

I'm sure he'd rather have a playoff run at a cup.

So apparently Guentzel is down to Canucks or Canes. Both Canucks and Canes want Guentzel re-signed if they trade for him. Canes are not a team that will usually go all in on UFA rentals and are apparently trying to decide if they want to make the move knowing he may be a rental. Canucks are fine making the deal either way

This deal is apparently at the desk and waiting for Carolina to make a decision, but Boston and Vancouver are ready to go. Debrusk + to Penguins for Guentzel. Guentzel to Vancouver for Lindholm.

Probably his only chance, if he ends up in Columbus next year.

Lindholm in Boston was always the ideal fit for me.

Question is does Lindholm make it to the trade deadline with Boston? Half lives being what they are...

Out of those three in a good year Lindholm is a 8/10, Guentzel 7, and DeBrusk 6. I see why Boston would want a crack at Lindholm if he resigns at a reasonable term and dollar. I see why Vancouver wants to make a quick move from Lindholm as he hasn't worked out in a short period of time and take on Guentzel. But I don't understand Pittsburgh seeing this as the best return in getting DeBrusk. They needed quantity and quality. This is the best they can do? Anyway, at this stage I think Guentzel is a flavour of the month like a lot of guys tend to be every year. I truly believe he's a guy Crosby made and when is all said and done you'll see a steep decline from him. Lindholm we'll see next year. This year seems to be a conditioning writeoff for him. DeBrusk the Pens should simply flip.

In a way I hate to see Lindholm sorta rewarded with for (a) making unrealistic demands here; (b) losing his GAF level after his demands weren’t met and his buddies were gone; (c) pooping the bed in Vancouver who paid through the nose for him.
