There are some really good players in the top 10, and we can have one of them for free... all we have to do is trade two players. One of them doesn't want to be here and probably has at least 6 realistic trade destinations... the other one is indifferent about staying or leaving, and there's literally a team begging us for him.

I'm all for maximizing returns... but one of the best possible returns we can get is simply just a byproduct of making the actual trades themselves.

It's frustrating when the Flames can play their best against the best in the league but not for the bottom feeders.

After tonight, the Flames and Kraken are tied in the standings. Either both of them are bottom feeders, or neither.

Winnipeg owes us one for softening them up like that on a travel back-to-back.

30 points ahead of last place? If they're trying to be bottom feeders, they're not doing it right.

Okay, bottom feeder wasn't the correct word, but you knew what I was referring to.

I know. But I don't think it's reasonable to expect a team to dominate other teams that are basically tied with it in the standings. They're that close for a reason.

Steinberg has made his judgement on the Pospisil hit - no suspension!

Sigh, another gauntlet of strong teams- TB, FLA then carolina. I mean, it's good for getting us a better draft pick. But did somebody on the flames hit on the schedule maker's wife at some point?
Have the turds up north ever had 2 or 3 tough opponents in a row this season? Seems like they get a top team, then some nights off and a couple bottom feeders to space it out.

Similar comment appeared in Bostonpuck and Winnipegpuck recently.

I love Rasmus but a PP guy, he is not

ALL of the above!!

THREE TIMES in a row he did the same stupid thing. And it failed each time...but he kept doing it. Just get him off the PP....please and thanks.

He gets so tied up either just passing to Backs or trying to make some semi-impossible move down to the half-boards and most of the time he loses the puck, either to his own slowness or a guy who jumps him. SO predictable.

Thought the entire team was off their game tonight...yah, they fought back, but they lost the game in the first period. WTF? 1 shot until something like the 16th minute? Not gonna survive many nights like that.

Thats called a three game winning streak in Calgary. Wait until san Jose, Chicago and Anaheim show up.

Sometimes I'd rather them trying OK on the PP, Ok is a lot faster than Andersson, and if he makes a mistake, he can race back something Andersson cannot do.

I don't expect domination. Just show up at the start of the first period and stop relying on 3rd period comebacks.

Pretty frustrating game......brutal start, SHG against to seal their fate, hitting posts, stupid Pospisil hit.

Biggest thing for me was no injuries. Thankfully. Now make some trades.

I miss Stone's exciting NASA rocket slapshots from the point.

I don't think so. There is no real action from the point because most of the forwards can't move well enough. The ones that can don't read the play quick enough. Its a disaster but it's the right time to have it.
