Do not really want Okposo...at least it's for very little in return.
I was also told by Out of the Cube that Okposo is a huge part of the leadership in Buffalo. I wonder how he feels about this.

I liked them re-signing him in the summer due to this, but this season has been a step backwards. It was time to move on from these vets and get some of the younger guys in the lineup. I wonder if this is kind of a signal to the team that things are gonna be changing? I don't think Granato will be back next season personally.

Why not?
For a team with SC aspirations, he is a perfect add.
Experience, leadership, offensive ability, and he is gonna be hungry for some PO success after being buried on a terrible team for a long time.

He has 22 points this year. Not sure he adds much offense these days. He's old and slow. Hungry? Possibly, but he hasn't moved the needle much in Buffalo for years now.
I like most of the moves Zito makes, but just not in favor of this one. I'd rather have Pat Maroon.

I really liked Okposo back in his prime. I think he'll be really good veteran depth for a playoff run. He's not a big time producer anymore, but he's the kind of player that comes up big when needed.
