So Lindholm's staying put with VAN and they're pursuing TT?

Hopefully not to get someone to "work" with Lindholm. That's a foolish game to play. TT's goal totals were all TT. Don't think him and Lindy were much of a duo.

They were 2/3 of the Flames best line last season and as we have seen it's hard for Lindy to find chemistry with anyone so not a bad idea and Toffoli knows the team and city.

Would be funny if Vancouver sends Lindholm to NJ for Toffoli. Then Markstrom would have his buddy there and be even more agreeable perhaps.

Vegas is actually just smart and has ruthless managment.

Stone ruptured his spleen...which feels like a hard injury to fake...and based on what I have read online the general feedback is "avoid strenuous activity for 8-12 weeks". Which easily means he's done until April 22 based on being injured Feb 22.

So if that means he's out until the playoffs they'd be stupid not to take advantage of the $9.5M of LTIR space that opens up.

And even more if you can get somebody else to do 75% retention so that Noah Hanifin only takes up $1.25M of that cap space, and leaving you with $3.8M of LTIR to go get other pieces that likely also come at 50-75% retention then you'd be foolish not to do so.

Vegas gets Toffoli (retained) as a Stone replacement until POs. Sends their first to NJD (activates condition on the Hanifin trade).

NJD uses that extra first in a trade for Markstrom.

I hope Vegas gets Guentzel with the 25 1st. An unprotected 26 1st plus Oilerland explosion would be pretty good.

Vegas should do that. Anything to block ####ville.

Also helps us by giving us the better 1st and better chances at the 2nd!

I don't get debrusk. Always seemed overrated. Why would Dubas want him straight up? He's a UFA after this year.

Dont think he does. As part of a package? Sure but there would have to be adds for it to happen.

I get the thought process of reuniting Lindholm and Toffoli in Vancouver, but I don't see that happening. If the Canucks want to make an impact in the playoffs, they need to get Suter and Mikahyev out of their top 6, which is where Toffoli will go. Lindholm however has already been tried on both top lines and can't find chemistry with Pettersson or Miller, so my guess is he will likely stay in the bottom 6.
