Tell me you don't understand the seriousness of what Trump is doing in one policy change.
Ah, there it is.

Do bots come with built in “we’re made, cheese it!” protocol?

I always thought that running that many effective bots, and being able to use the information or spam a thread, took at least the manpower and resources of a Russia or a China. I never considered Cochrane sending bots to cyberwarfare Airdrie.
So are the Alberta bots paid for and run by Alberta, or is somebodies Russian/US/China buddy doing some dirty work, here?

Could be AI bots, but I don't know why they'd need so many workers in one thread. That's the baffling bit, why have so many running? Should be a one and done, unless a different worker hits each page in the thread. 1366 guests, but some would be legit, and 1231 pages. Maybe that's what's happening. I've heard AI bot traffic is getting pretty massive.
Quote:
Automated bot traffic surpassed human-generated traffic for the first time in a decade, constituting 51% of all web traffic in 2024. This shift is largely attributed to the rise of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), which have simplified the creation and scaling of bots for malicious purposes. As AI tools become more accessible, cyber criminals are increasingly leveraging these technologies to create and deploy malicious bots which now account for 37% of all internet traffic – a significant increase from 32% in 2023. This is the sixth consecutive year of growth in bad bot activity, posing security challenges for organizations striving to safeguard their digital assets.

Review after Alberta withholds renewable energy survey results
https://edmontonjournal.com/news/loc...survey-privacy
Quote:
Postmedia requested the results of the survey and received over 300 pages of entirely redacted records in return. The province's information and privacy commissioner is reviewing those government responses.
|
The UCP must not have liked the results, of course, so just don't acknowledge the opinions of Albertans. Just one thing after another with the most corrupt and insufferable government in Canadian history.

I'd like them to have to stand in front of a judge or something and argue why the anonymous opinions of Albertans given on future policy proposals collected with taxpayer dollars are protected in a way only the government can release them, and yet they decide not to. Justify it. Publicly.

Thomas Lukaszuk
Today, I filed a Law Society conduct complaint against Alberta’s Justice Minister and lawyer Matthew Lindsay. Both, in my opinion, engaged in criminal obstruction of justice on the private surgery contracting file.
Mr. Lukaszuk indicated in a telephone conversation that he expects to contact the RCMP today regarding the same matter.#

Independent MLA Peter Guthrie penning an open letter to his constituents, in which he criticizes the UCP on its handling of the procurement scandal and its lack of fiscal discipline- and saving his last salvo for Premier Danielle Smith, who he believes may have ulterior motives.

At an otherwise un-notable meeting of the standing committee on resource stewardship March 18, opposition MLA Nagwan Al-Guneid dropped a time-bomb that would blow wide-open the Smith government’s phoney claim that the Alberta Energy Regulator is an independent agency.
“Last time I checked, the Premier appointed Mr. Yager to the AER board, which means he and the AER must be at arm’s-length from the government. How is Mr. Yager receiving $156,000 salary from the government while being an AER board member?” asked Al-Guneid.
“Why is an AER board member holding closed-door consultations on how to make taxpayers pay for delinquent assets of bankrupt oil and gas companies in rural Alberta? Through the chair, why does Mr. Yager introduce himself as a special adviser to the Premier and Executive Council in public events and consultations while being a board member on the AER?”
