kickers are just weird. I remember Chris Boswell, after a Pro Bowl season in 2017, was absolutely atrocious two years ago and everybody was calling for his head, then last year he was pretty much perfect again.

Yeah Gostkowski is just wild this year. All over the place...but on that 50 yard FG yesterday he absolutely nailed it, I feel like that would've been good from 57.

Just no idea which version of him you're going to get at any time.

Harrison Butker misses an extra point every week and botched a 40 yard field goal last week. Put him 55 yards out and he seems fine.

Like golfers these guys fight the psychological aspect of things.

Butker is one of the best kickers in the league.

But it's your Chiefs, so I've come to expect the doom and gloom, lol.

Butker is one of the best , but has been borderline atrocious this season and totally inconsistent

I have more faith when he’s attempting 50 yarders then extra points

Me too. In Butkers case his reputation exceeds year to date results. The 35 yard to 45 yard kick is in his head right now. 1 for 3 on those 40 to 49 FG's and 27 of 33 on the extra point. It has to be a mental block.

It has not really cost the team yet and his 50 yard prowess helped them beat the Chargers....of course missing a PAT required them to make a 2 point convert to extend that game.

Justin Tucker is the one guy I would have the most faith in.

Come playoffs we will see if it matters. Butker has had to make one clutch kick in his last 5 playoff games to tie the AFC Championship game. He missed a field goal in a one point loss in his first game in the 2018 playoffs.

Carson Wentz continues his first half play. I think the difference between him and Trubisky is that he had a roster Nick Foles could win with to support him. Mitch don't have that.

Panthers had a decent first half, but now the wheels are flying off. Too bad.

Panthers are bad at home. They were 3-9 in their past 12 coming into today. I think they are undefeated against the spread on the road.. opposite thing at home.

If the Giants didn't choke that first Eagles game they'd be in first place right now. It appears, for how little this is worth, they are the best team in the division.

Chubb busts a huge run and instead of scoring goes out at the 1 so Browns can kill the clock? Gamblers are furious.

You are making that up. Tampa are the ones who nearly blew that game. A chance at OT is 50/50 for a good team and 40/60 for the Giants.

The Cowboys game, I would argue is the one you should lament them not qinning. They could be 5-5 with 5 Division. But they're 3-7 with a 3-2 Division record because they are still a bad team.

The Giants at least are trending upward, they've gotten better as the season has gone on. Eagles, on the other hand, what a mess.

This has to be KNJ's last game, doesn't it? They're even getting gashed on the run now.

I don't understand how he got the job in the first place, much less how he's kept it. Russell has kept Schottenheimer employed, but there's just no one of that quality on the other end to paper over bad coaching.

There you go - 3 drives, 3 scores, and it doesn't even look remotely difficult.

Not at all. They just seem to give enough space for what ever the other team needs to convert a 1st down. Need six? Here's a ten yard cushion. Need ten? How about fifteen yards to do it with.

Like I get the talent isn't "the best" back there, but the parts seem to be better than the sum, no?

It's not good, but it's not this bad, by any stretch. It shouldn't be on pace for the worst in history, that's for sure. They haven't had Adams, and they don't have much up front in terms of a pass rush, but they have Wagner and Dunbar and Wright.

Just hire Dan Quinn.

EDIT: It doesn't help that Schottenheimer is a next-level offensive coward. I mean, you should basically never punt, with this defence, but not only does Schottenheimer never play 4 down football, he doesn't even play three down football if it's 3rd and longer than 10. They don't even try for the first in those situations, as he has actually admitted in a press conference.
