We are the C of Red, but we’re also an oil and gas town. So like natural gas, let’s burn blue, too.
This is obviously a rough concept but I think this has some serious potential.

Buzz, your girlfriend! Woof!
Well, at least we wouldn’t have to worry about the Alberta patches looking out of place anymore.

I’m expecting a series like the horrible NFL Rush jerseys from Thursday nights. The Greasers can just use their regular jerseys.

3rd jersey is 3rd jersey, not a retro.
Given the way the NBA now has 4 jerseys per team, there is a distinction and 3rds will be a new design or colour scheme, not a retro.
My guess is in two years most team will also have a retro jersey too.
From the old thread, even though Vegas has done the graphite home, still think it would look great.

Anybody who thinks the 3rd jerseys should be the retros are in for some disappointment . The 3rd jerseys are a money grab. The retros have already been done as a 3rd jersey. At the very least it would be a modern take on retros but i even doubt that. I just hope Addidas and its team, has more input than Ken King and his team.

I'm thinking this is just a chance to bring back the NHL Marvel Guardian project....

Has to have the same shade of red as the homes jerseys so that the C of Red doesn't get diminished. Mind you, we only ever get to see it 2 or 3 times a year at most, so maybe they should prioritize a better third jersey design instead.

Come on man. Blue?
Do you see something that might be wrong with a flames blue jersey?

The logo and design of a uniform would be protected by a trademark as opposed to a patent.
My guess is that the old Winnipeg Jets logo is actually owned by the National Hockey League as opposed to a specific franchise. There is sometime retro merchandise created for teams that no longer exist which is "NHL Licensed", so my guess is that the league owns those as the ownership teams of those logos long since dissolved.

This makes sense for a lot of reasons;
1. a blue flame is hotter than a red flame.
2. it celebrates our Western heritage.
3. it makes more sense than naming our team after a fire in a city ~2,000 miles away.
4. it can easily be adapted to a unicorn.
