Brossoit posts back-to-back shutouts for the Alaska Aces
Nice to see.

Calgary Flames prospect Laurent Brossoit has played in three games for the Alaska Aces (ECHL) and he has yet to allow a single goal.
The netminder posted two shutouts for the Aces this weekend, making 32 saves in a pair of games against the Bakersfield Condors. The back-to-back shutouts were the first by the Aces since Oct. 29-30, 2010 (Gerald Coleman and Adam Courchaine at Las Vegas and Bakersfield).
He also played in a portion of the Aces clash with the Condors on Nov. 1, stopping 8 shots.
The Aces sit first in the ECHL Western Conference with 14 points and a 7-1-0 record. They have allowed just 9 goals this year, the least in the league.
Brossoit, who was the Flames sixth round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, has also spent time with the Abbotsford Heat this year. He is in his first professional season after spending three years with the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL.
Good that he is seeing some playing time and getting his confidence up. It is the ECHL, so obviously the level of play will be not as high as in the AHL, but getting some good quality game as opposed to sitting on the side is good.
Hope to see both Ortio and Brossoit switching between the two leagues, so they get ample playing time to further their growth.
Plenty of good goalies start their pro careers in the ECHL. Jonathan Quick comes to mind...
Goalies take so long to develop, and so much of their play is affected by their confidence, that I reckon Brossoit is gaining some valuable experience right where he is. No need to rush him through the pro ranks just yet.

James Reimer played in the ECHL as well.
Brossoit and Gilles will be the cornerstones of the franchise going forward in goal. IMO
I am drunk but speechless right now. I really liked Broissot but I still always saw Ortio and Gillies as our future goaltenders. Need to sleep on this though still
