Icon37 Ottawa (25-42-6-56) @ Calgary (44-21-7-95) 7:00pm (SNW, TSN5, RDS)

The Calgary Flames are back at home in the Scotiabank Saddledome this evening taking on the Ottawa Senators.

Projected starters, not confirmed at the time of posting, are Mike Smith for the Flames and Craig Anderson for the Senators. https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies

The Flames are three points up on San Jose for first in the Pacific Division and Western Conference; both teams play this evening (Sharks are in LA taking on the Kings).

The Senators are at last place in the league, are playing the second of night of a back-to-back on the road where they lost the first game, and includes a time change. That said, this is the top hockey league in the world, and no team can ever be taken lightly.

Overall records:
Calgary Flames 45-21-7-97
Ottawa Senators 25-42-6-56

The game will be broadcast on SportsNet West, TSN5, and RDS. This covers a decent portion of the country, but not all so have your streaming services ready if need be.

Go Flames Go

Good job! I appreciate it when GDT have the game time listed in the title.

Couldn't ask for an easier matchup. Hoping for a good, solid 60-minute effort with minimal "wtf" goals.

I’m headed to Victoria, will I be able to watch it there?

Does anyone recall the Flames friendly bar downtown?

This should definitely be a win. Hope the Flames don't take them lightly though.

Thanks, ideally I like the idea of the first post to have the quick and dirty information.

Anything else I should include I'd be happy to.

Yep, you're right about those places. It's that Darcy's is the #1 Flames friendly place because the owner is a Flames fan.

Glad to hear Darcy's is still around!

So many memories I'll never remember cheering on our Flames there.

I've mentioned it before but [GDT] and [PGT] thread titles and first posts are nice to see with a relatively consistent format. Proper team names "team @ Flames" or vice versa, start time with timezone, broadcasters etc. [PGT] that states the final score without some whiny quip if we lost.

I am super happy you've started doing the [GDT] early and in a consistent format. Clearly, others are happy as well! Keep up the good work!

I also think Puppetguy does a fantastic job as well.

Should be an easy W, but without last minute heroics things could have gone the other way in Ottawa

Have to think that SJ and CGY remain lockstep tonight unless LA is feeling extra frisky

I'm headed to Vancouver on an annual boys flames trip. Unforturntly, only Vancouver worked with our schedule this year. Does anyone know a pub in Vancouver that will have tonight's game? We are staying downtown Vancouver.

Thanks in advance!

Would rather not see smith in net again but hopefully he should be fine against one of the worst teams in the league.

Should be an easy game for the flames tonight. Good matchup for Monahan and Bennett to draw back in for, and return to game speed
