He was 3rd star in the Oilers 6-3 loss to Vegas. I guess the disparity in goals needs to be 4+ for McDavid not to be a star.

Leafs have looked pretty awful lately. They're gonna get demolished in round 1.

And Simmonds scores his 1st Preds goal against the Buds.

Could the declining Simmonds be going the way of Glencross?

Nashville has been far and away the best atmosphere of the four. Tommy Tutone played 867-5309 at the 2nd intermission. And they're up 1-0 on the Leafs. Can't touch Chicago for the anthem, but the actual experience has been top shelf.

Get the Tailgate peanut butter stout, and thank me later.
Awesome trip...that beer sounds amazing!

Outshot 19-6 with McDavid on the ice 5 on 5 and they probably had to bite their tongue not to give him 3rd star.

The Hurricanes are putting some air between them and the chasing teams now. Good for them! Talk about the Lindholm/Hanifin-Hamilton/Ferland trade being a slam dunk, potentially pushing both former struggling teams into the playoffs.

Simmonds and Glencross might be pretty comparable come to think of it.

Agreed, but Simmonds is a couple years younger than Glencross was, and Simmonds will probably get another contract on the sandpaper factor alone. Probably won't be the massive FA contract he's looking for though.

Final scores

https://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/sco...p?day=20190319

The Islanders seemed to have mailed this one in as they lost 5-0 to the Bruins. The shots were 39-13 in favour of Boston so it was kind of an easy SHUTOUT for Rask. Kuraly scored 2 goals.

Pekka Rinne with the 22 save SHUTOUT as the Predators beat the Leafs 3-0. TAlk about a low shot total, 22-20 in favour of the Leafs. Johansen with 2 points as the Predators maintain their 7 point cushion on the 7th place Stars.

The Stars helped their playoff hopes with a 4-2 victory over the Panthers. Seguin with 4 assists. The Panthers were tied 2-2 heading into the 3rd period until Radulov scored the GWG at about the half way mark of the period. The Panthers rookie goalie faced 36 shots in the loss.

Maybe. It depends on POs. Glencross was pretty useless in the POs that year and that was his downfall IMO.
