What young developing forward? I mean really, what young developing forward on the Oilers roster is really going to garner much attention?
Poolparty? He looks meh.
Draisaitl, he's definately young, and moving him out for a kings ransom could help that organzation in spreading the money out.
McDavid - unlikely, but I'm still of the view point that I would see what I could get for him.
Goaltenders?
Neither look very good right now, but that has as much to do with the team in front of them.
They shouldn't be selling high draft picks, I know we make fun of their crappy drafting and development, but this team has too many problems to be a buyer. Chances are even if they stumble into the playoffs, they're not going far, they're too shallow for that.
If I was a fan of that train wreck, I would be reading that with a sense of panic.

Notwithstanding their lottery ball magnetism, what would a 1st, Poolparty/Yamamoto and a UFA Talbot actually get them? Brassard level guy? Go for it, I say.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Honestly, if I was the oilers GM, I would look at trading Draisaitl. He is one of the only players of value on the roster, and they need to rebuild on the fly because of mcdavid.
They should be looking at Tarasenko, Schenn and one of st. Louis defense for Draisaitl, Talbot and their first.
That would be if they actually wanted to improve the team, and didn't overvalue what they have.
