I’m so happy the entire league is watching this. Finally getting a taste of what we all know. Oilers are a garbage team full of garbage players.

Hopefully that draisaitl hit doesn't turn the tide of the series if Barkov misses time and draisaitl doesn't.
Panthers up 2-0 is obviously a great spot to be but the oilers just won't die so far these playoffs.
Down 3-2 to Van
Down 2-1 to Dallas and Down 2-0 in game 4 early
Just let them die this time please

The more I watch it, the more I think we don’t even see Barkov take another shift… I hope I’m wrong. The play and his reaction reminds me of how I broke my jaw, which came with a nasty concussion. Ugh. Brutal.

Any word if he’s going to have a hearing yet? I’m doubtful

Taking a while to get to 5000

If the league does nothing, regardless of Barkov's status, I fully expect Lomberg to find his way back into the lineup on Thursday.

George Parros and his boss , wheel of Justice....should call egregiously bad hits the same way in POs as.thr regular season.....but you know they won't.
They should have done the same thing with Drydiaper as they did with Fogele except 10 and a game ....running the clock not matter how many times the cats score until the 10 has elapsed.
I called it last.night ....they won't kill 35 straight and boom ....score....its a.celebration biiiittches!!!!
UNITY!!!
I bet Dryhump pays a fine .that's it.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves yes it’s 2-0, but nothing to celebrate. We have seen how the leagues and refs can tilt games with game management. I’m sure they are looking at way to get the series extended.
Job not done.
Go Panthers. USA USA !!

Big change vs the year Chucky tried to sever Schiefle' achilles.

He didn't take another shift.
If nothing is broken he was at the very least in concussion protocol.
It really is the complete example of the stuff they have been preaching about getting out of the game.
It will be a brutal look if they don't at least address it at the league level.

The look isn't good on Sportsnet when they throw to a panel to complain about the officiating. They were trying really hard to push that narrative and end up looing like idiots (more so) when other angles or views are shown to counter what they are saying. Trying downplay the knee and the elbow was ridiculous. I could watch it anymore.
For the over the glass play, the only question I have for those that still think it was, would you be so confident that you would challenge it, knowing you would be giving up a powerplay. My guess is you wouldn't, considering that there is a angle of it not being in the defensive zone.

Don't think you can challenge over the glass call.
But either way, get Gadzic off my tv, this isn't a local Oilers broadcast. Bieska should be the one doing the post game analysis.

I know you can't. Just a thought experiment to show that it shouldn't even be discussed in terms of a missed call by the officials.

That hit is probably curtains for Barkovs playoffs. Forearm shiver, probably broken jaw. Dirty.

To be fair, i think the officials missed that one.
Not that it really matters though. The only thing Bobs was giving up last night was the one shot he faced after standing in net for 26 minutes (of real time not hockey time) before seeing a puck on net.
The Foegle knee was borderline as both guys shifted at the last second.
But the Draisaitl thing is black and white/cut and dry.
Left his feet, led with his elbow, head was main point of contact, player injured.
HAS to be some sort of discipline.

Totally agree, will be very interesting to see what the league does ,
Will they suspend the player, fine the player or nothing at all
I would bet, Barkov was in concussion protocol and was not allowed back in the game.,

What's stupid about the whole thing is - should flipping a puck out of the neutral zone glass be effectively deciding a game in the NHL when the result will be a lengthy 5-3?
This is not the spirit of the rule at all.....flipping a puck out of play deep in your own zone is far different than this, which at worst was an inch from being legal and likely still was anyway.
