That's how I am a bit every time I play on the small screen or when I'm not wearing glasses. Smash is definitely a large screen and clear vision game for me, otherwise I find I lose track if who I am until I'm already floating off into oblivion.

Just finished Breath of the Wild. Crazy good game. Brought back so many memories. They did a great job of integrating more modern features of open world games while staying true to the feeling of a Zelda game.

Picked up the Switch as well during Shopper's last 20x points deal. Seems like there is another coming up soon - is it worth it to try to get a few games? I wonder if the 20x is for one item or for the whole purchase amount. That would be a pretty good deal for 2 or 3 games.

How much space do the downloadable versions of games take up on the Switch?

Pro controller. Expecially if you use a game that is heavy on the shoulder buttons like Mario Kart and Splatoon 2. The Joycons are fine for Zelda though.

I really really recommend the Pro Controller, especially if you can score it for a deal (I think it was ~$50 during Black Friday?).

If you play it on the go a lot, a travel case is necessary. A power bank (one of the official licensed ones through Nintendo and Anker) would not be a bad idea too.

Haha, had someone rage suicide on me in Smahs Bros. A Ganondorf player that dominated the first stock, then I switched strategies and he barely touched me again.

You can drive people crazy with Bowser Jr., especially slower characters. He’s not ranked very highly but I love using him.

Just my personal opinion, but I find the joy con still good enough to race on MK.

I don't mind the joy cons, and wouldn't pay $90 for the pro controller. Then it went down to $60 over the holidays and I got one and it is really, really nice. Nice feel and weight to it, excellent battery life, etc.

I wouldn't say it is essential, but if it drops to $60 again and someone is looking for something to spend some money on, there would be no buyers remorse at all. I went a year and a half getting by with the joy cons just fine, but the pro controller feels even better than I expected it to. The only disadvantage is that you can't use it for Mario Party. But that's pretty minor.

One of those things where if you don't have one, life is just fine. But if you do have one, you'll feel a little disappointed when you are about to play Mario Kart and your wife gets it first.

I had a similar experience.

Like the Pro Controller but wasn't at all "essential" to me and only got it on Black Friday.

It's a better controller than they Joy Con, and I'll use it when I'm playing console mode. But really I still like the Joy Cons, have had no issues at all with mine but that may be because mostly I play in hand held mode.

Yeah, it's ok. And I survived with it for a while too. But I literally played one match of Splatoon 2 before marching back to the store and getting a pro controller. Never looked back on either game.

Fair enough.

If I gamed a lot still, I'd likely be pushing for the Pro Controller... right now, it works to play Smash Bros, MK, and Zelda for me with my kid. haha

I just finished as well.

I found the game far to easy. Other than the first divine beast I did with 6 hearts I don’t think I died other than from jumping off cliffs.

I loved the world and am going to get the DLC and try to finish all the quests and shrines but the bosses were just too easy. The big monsters in the world are harder to kill (Lynrl and the fire/ice Talus)

I don’t think I could play Zelda without the pro con. I don’t mind the half controller but the adapter thingy with two just doesn’t fit my hand at all.
