I tend to think the timing of this "feud" and "rapbattle" is suspect with Eminem's album coming out and this MGK wanting publicity, but I'm sure both of them are happy to be in teh spotlight. Really if you look at celebrities and news stories about them, it always tends to be when they've just released things. This stuff becomes so contrived, that it's like watching the WWE.

Just giving Logic's new album 'YSIV' a listen.

The first song is basically a shout out to his fans and there are clips of people calling in from all over the world thanking him, pretty cool as a couple of the people calling in are from Alberta.

Black Thought’s “Stream of Thought Vol 2” dropped yesterday and it is bars after bars. Even without combining it with Vol 1 in the best of year album list it would be there by itself.

Earl Sweatshirt's new album is an interesting listen to say the least. All the songs are short and the production is pretty abstract. This song is my favorite off the album:

I shouldn't laugh because I know he's got serious issues, but Kanye's Twitter feed tonight is pretty hilarious with whatever is going on with Drake.

Oh. My. God. This is amazing. I grew up with these guys, and I still have every single album. Sooooo good! They still got it!

and Young Dirty with some nostalgic energy. Chip off the old block there.

Btw, I feel this should be obvious, but it's NSFW due to language

For reference...

0:17 - 3:34 --> Triumph
4:05 - 5:31 --> Glaciers of Ice
6:15 - 7:31 --> Winter Warz
7:31 - 8:11 --> You Don't Want to Dance
8:50 - 9:25 --> Protect Ya Neck
9:55 - 10:52 --> Wu South
12:19 - 14:07 --> Duck Seazon/Freestyle
15:40 - --> C.R.E.A.M

I'm very happy I was able to see Wu-Tang in concert a few years ago. Wonderful act to catch live.

I terribly regret never seeing them live. If they ever make their way somewhere close... I'll have to check them out.

It was purely by accident. I happened to have a trip to Vegas booked, started Googling around for shows and concerts to consider checking out during that window, and saw Wu-Tang was performing at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. Wasn't a great big venue, but that made it even better I think. Just about the entire line-up was there too.

Bandana by Freddie Gibbs and Madlib is definitely worth a listen. I've been bumping it non-stop since it came out...probably my fav album of the year so far. The chemistry they have is so good. I didn't think it would be as good as their last album but it really delivered.

New Little Brother album dropped last night at midnight. If you've ever been a fan of any of the groups releases or of the solo efforts, get this. It's really good.

Body positivity gone wrong. Why is unhealthiness promoted? It's neither attractive or something to admire. Not a good track either.

It’s a fun video. Should she lose weight for health reasons? Sure, but that shouldn’t stop her from feeling sexy and confident now. You may not be into her but I’m sure she has plenty of admirers.

She's actually pretty talented from what I understand, but I don't get the idea of an artist doing that stuff. I'm not old school, but I don't understand what an artist doing that is trying to prove. It's not artistic, and I guess self expressive, but it's a bit much. The size to me isn't helping (political correctness be damned).
