He literally has no idea what he's talking about. He hears a catch word or phrase and then pretends he knows the subject and just starts rambling. It's sad to watch.

I'm willing to place bets on him being the dumbest person in space, too, and that includes RocketMan from the Tesla launch.

This should be an uncomfortable question for Americans.
The notion of America as a country to look up to or admire or be envied the world over is definitely at stake here. Crucial to the American projection of power is the already fractured, but at risk of total dismantling, American international reputation.
I think the world over can give a pass for one whoops. But if the US votes him in again, it will absolutely only be a reflection of the American people at this point and from an international reputation standpoint a total and unmitigated disaster. This I think will have domino effects downstream for Americans in everything from trade and economics to sports and culture. I think it will be enormously transformative to the downside internationally to Americans if they vote in Trump again.

Trump does it, and it's just another day at the office.

That’s because Biden doesn’t typically say anything that stupid, while Trump does it six times a day. Sudden and complete loss of common sense is alarming and should be investigated, while demonstrably never having it in the first place doesn’t really set off the same kind of alarms.

Good post, though I think their reputation as a country to admire has already left. We can simply look at how Canadians feel now about America to get a good sense of what's happened. We've always been the country that mimics America the most while forgiving their international aggression but attitudes have changed now from our government, our celebrities and our citizens.

We've been here before...
I found that image from this page, which has some stunning IQ numbers by state.
http://marc.merlins.org/mirrors/US-Election-IQ2004.htm
Average IQ of 85? It's starting to make sense...

If you are referring to the IQ numbers, those are from this guy...
http://marc.merlins.org/
I can't find his source for them, but it isn't The Mirror.
EDIT, OK looking at other sources the lowest is closer to 95. Maybe they got smarter since the mid 2000's?

Wildfires engulfing the west coast.
A hurricane ravaging the east coast.
Ongoing protests and civil unrest in cities across the country.
A surging pandemic with more cases and deaths than anywhere else in the world.
A sputtering economy coming off its worst quarterly retraction in the nations history.
High unemployment and an emerging eviction crisis for impoverished citizens.
Confirmed foreign interference in their upcoming election.
That’s just the start of the list.
And a commander in chief who denies climate change, rejects science and the recommendations of his own country’s health advisors, stokes the fire of racial tension and division among his constituents, alienates long standing allies, sows distrust and hatred of the free media, lies through his teeth, profits from the presidency, claims his opponent will bring upon real fire and fury upon the nation he “leads”, and actively dismantling the tools of democracy to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the impending election.
From barely following or understanding American politics four years ago, to checking this thread multiple times a day, it’s fascinating and stupefying what has transpired with our once great neighbours and allies.
Thank you to all who contribute to this thread. It’s going to be a wild end to 2020. And it really feels my faith of what is right and just and sane in this world is riding on the outcome of this surreal and wacky moment in history.
In the words of Agent Fox Mulder...
“I want to believe”.

I doubt IQ scores would vary so much by state. Wouldn't it be closer to a standard deviation across all populations?

Other sources also show the same distribution:
https://worldpopulationreview.com/st...ge-iq-by-state
I suspect lack of education funding has a lot to do with it.
