It's becoming more common. Easier to charge for the whole cart then you don't need to worry about trying to track/enforce who has paid for a cart. Play Golf isn't doing it at their other courses, so maybe they're using Heather Glen as a trial spot to see if it's worthwhile.

I have two rounds and a tournament in Edmonton this week. I haven’t had any time to swing clubs since March. Thank god for scrambles because my game isn’t going to be pretty.

Played Pheasantback on Saturday and was shocked at how well the greens are. They haven’t been that nice for a long long time. If you are in the area I would put it on the list so far this year, where the last number of years (pre and post foreclosure) I would say play elsewhere.

Wow, that's a lot of golf. You must be good at it. I've never played more than 36 in one day ... and I've never really enjoyed playing 36 in one day...

I just like being outdoors when the weather is so nice, walking the course and meeting new people. It's my place to go when life gets stressful. Besides the walking is good exercise for my legs and helps me to burn off a few calories and build some stamina.
The above being said, you have to take full advantage when we have temps like we've had this week

The best golf temps and best drinking temps are different for me, not sure about others. Having drinks in 25-30 degree heat is awesome, golfing in 25-30 degree mid day heat jut kills me.
I end up sweating and laboring my shots by about the 6 or 7th hole. 12-18 is my preferred golfing temp.

Fixed your post. I like the extra carry the heat gives my irons.

played my first round of the year last night at mapleridge. figured i was going to be road kill as i had not even gone tot he range yet this year - wound up shooting one of my best rounds ever with a 95 (I did give myself one mulligan) and only one lost ball.
expectations are now ridiculously high for balance of season

This is true, played about a month ago in Palm Springs it was 38°C. Had to tone down the beer consumption or risk passing out from the heat...lol.

Has anyone had to deal with golfer's elbow and bursitis? If so, what did you have done? Some information/advice would be appreciated.

That's why early morning rounds are highly sought after. You will get done quickly and the temp is always on the cool side in summer.

With the added bonus of almost always playing at a good pace.
Usually only avid golfers get out before 9 am.

Plus it gives you the rest of the day to do other things.

Yep, I play between 7 and 7:30 every day in July & August. Get around in 3 hours, have lunch, and decide whether or not to play 18 more!
