Love this trade.
Jays got a 24 year old big league ready OF prospect (which is the biggest organizational weakness) and 6 years of team control.
Really quite a massive steal. But he was stuck in a logjam in Houston so they were smart to deal him for a guy that willl solidify their pen in what looks to be their all-in season.

Not sure, it's probably a wash either way as far as on field play goes. I'd imagine they'll keep Aoki in the system as they are still thin at OF.

I think he'll stick around at least through the end of the season. He doesn't cost that much and he has a year of team control left (one more turn through arbitration) so no reason to get rid of him right away. He's been replacement level this year but he's been an average major leaguer throughout his prior MLB tenure.
Hernandez is the real take here. I like the deal.

Jays need to restock the cupboards in a big way so I hope we see a few more trades. It is going to be a number of lean years for the Jays but this needs to happen. Hopefully JD turns it around next year and we can get some top prospects for him.
