Well, no, they aren’t. A shot going wide is not considered a shot on goal. So not in the save percentage calculation.

Yes those are the rules but just checked and they awarded a shot to backlund and a save to andersen and it was obviously going wide.

Haven’t thought of Carolina as a contender. And maybe the Flames are so bad today that it’s a skewed viewing. But they are impressive and play good PO hockey IMO.

This is interesting and a coincidence. My cousin's daughter (they're in Calgary too) also got signed in North Carolina somewhere 2 years ago to play either field hockey or lacrosse. Can't remember which one.
