People may hate Eriksson, but to say he's a less developed defenceman than guys like Aulie, or Negrin, or Seabrook who have played all of 0 AHL games is flat out false. Is Eriksson more talented? Probably not. But Eriksson had 12 years of experience playing in the NHL and AHL, so he's done something they have not, made it to the show for an extended period of time.
In 2007-08, Baldwin played 37 games in the AHL, compared to 12 in the ECHL. So your '80%' is really more like 25%. Brad Cole played in 25 in the AHL to 19 in the ECHL, so '80%' is really more like 43%. Not that it's a tonne of experience, but Baldwin and Cole at least have played half a season in the AHL. You are correct about Wilson though.
The key point I'm trying to make is that this is a very young defensive core in Abbotsford, and if our goaltender doesn't set the world on fire, it doesn't mean he's a bum. It never really came up in this thread, but I figured the discussion would be better served here.
