When did Ice Dance get rid of the 3 dances? I remember Vancouver being 3 dances. Was it because of the "Team" event?

I flipped to NBC for the Russians (looking for hockey) and they weren't too enthused on the Russians either. Basically too much unnecessary arm movements, face to face skating and few crossovers is what the colour lady said on there.

There used to be a compulsory dance where everyone danced the same routine. They didn't have it in Sochi.
