That makes no sense to me at all. We need to fill the holes we have, not create more holes we don't have.

A first line doesn't need to be comprised of three elite players. McDavid plays with Maroon. Matthews plays with Hyman. Crosby plays with Sheary. Toews plays with Hartman...etc. All elite center's need a worker. A dependable player who is solid in their own zone, and is a monster on the forecheck. Ferland can be that presence. I's say our biggest issues that are separating us from a cup contending team, is having an elite first line center, having a bottom pairing that can take a regular shift and a goalie that can step up and singlehandedly win games for them every so often.
