I’d try
Gaudreau Lindholm Jankowski
Tkachuk Monahan Bennett
Frolik Backlund Czarnik
Mangiapane Ryan Hathaway

But then again I've always found it weird that teams do this kind of stuff. They're obsessed with playing star players at very, very low effectiveness even though they're hurt. If he's that hurt, maybe someone more effective should move up in the line up and that player should have their minutes limited.
Agree with this.

Too much parity in the league to pretend we can just beat the 8th seed with a crippled 1st line center.

One of the luxuries of clinching the playoffs early should be to make sure your team is as healthy as possible for the grueling run.

Hoping he isn’t as “crippled “ as Monahan.

Scott Cruickshank did a Q&A on The Athletic today and mentioned no one (media) has heard from or seen Neal in sometime.

He's gone to play for Kladno.

When healthy...

Gaudreau - Monahan - Czarnik
Mangiapane - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Bennett - Backlund - Neal
Jankowski - Ryan - Hathaway

Rotate Frolík & Dubé on 4th line.

I'm not subscribing to the Monahan is hurt theory unless there is evidence beyond not playing well. Maybe Tkachuk is hurt too. And Neal has been hurt all year.

Not many players can play at an elite level for 82 games and if we're honest, his play in the first half was more than expected.

Ya but Mony isn't getting the same looks he was getting earlier in the year. I would be interested to see his shots per game in the first half of the season compared to the first 2 months of 2019. Something's definately off with him imo.

If there is an injury with Mony it's gotta be something requiring surgery otherwise why not rest him up.

Unhealthy players should rest as this team is regressing at the moment.

Get some healthy, hungry players in the lineup as they want to prove themselves. I'd like to see Dube, Quine, and Lazar get an opportunity if we have 3 players that are ailing.

Frolik should sit for a game or two as he has not produced since the deadline.

Really it depends on the nature of the injury (if there is one). I mean if it's something that he can play through but will require season ending surgery to completely fix... well we'd rather have 75% Monahan then 0% Monahan right? Likewise if it's something that additional rest will have minimal impact on recovery time.

For all we know he's just in a bit of a personal slump. Regardless I trust the team to appropriately manage whatever it is.
