Hopefully they’re bag skated after that debauchery last night.

But they didn’t play bad. Execution was off and goaltending not good; the Flames were fast and tenacious through most of last night’s game.

I hope he tries a few different lines because the 1st line isn't working at the moment, for whatever reason.

People that thought the Flames played really badly have only seen the score and didn't watch the game. Anderson was the difference pure and simple (plus a couple pucks that bounced over sticks) and that's not a slight against Rittich. I suppose you could question the D giving the looks that Ennis got on the first goal, and the breakaway leading to a goal. But the Flames outshot, outchanced, and generally outskated the Leafs.

If Lazar is ever the answer then it’s a stupid question IMO. Not an upgrade on anything, anywhere

Hard to justify putting in lazar when the flames bottom 6 is what's keeping the team afloat right now.

Maybe we'll finally make the dreams come true of the posters who wanted to see Gaudreau-Monahan-Lazar a few years ago.

I'd sit Frolik again. He's been really off and has responded well when sat or demoted all season.

Pretty clear he's on his way out after almost being traded for Zucker.
Have to imagine the agent pulling the act he did earlier this year did not sit well organizationally.

Lines at practice i hope to see.
Gaudreau- monahan-lindholm
Tkachuck-Backlund-Czarnick
Bennett-Janko-Mangiapane
Hathaway-ryan-Lazar
I would be interested in trying a swap with mid 2 RW as well. One has to think if things dont improve soon that top line will need shuffling for a spark.

I'd like to see something really radical.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Bennett
Tkachuk - Ryan - Lindholm
Jankowski - Backlund - Czarnik
Mangiapane - Lazar - Hathaway
Or something of that mold. The team could use a small spark and this is the easiest way to do it. I'll be happy with whatever Peters comes up with but I'd like to see some really new combinations.

They didn't really go off on Pat per se. But Lou got fired up and raised his voice a bit (as per Pat) while Derek threw in multiple veiled attempts at discrediting Rittich's early season success to curry favor to Mike Smith starting in the playoffs.
Not sure what David Rittich has done to Wills and Loubo, but it's very obvious on air that they have a very strong bias towards Mike Smith. Not sure if it's just older vets looking out for another older vet. But it's lead to some personal angst against Ryan Pinder because he's not a Smith guy at all and as soon as Mike Smith had a bad game, the 2 were all of a sudden very "tired" of the goaltending talk, but were completely fine talking with the goaltending conversation when Smith was on his win streak.
Just reeks of desperation. Eric Francis can be thrown into this grouping as well. Pat seems to be the most level headed of the bunch, he's interested in talking about each goaltender's struggles and is willing to criticize and give credit where credit is due whereas Ryan Pinder, Derek Wills and Peter Loubardias have clear favorites.
