Wow. These people truly are living in their own f***ed up fantasy world, just like their Führer. I've said it before, but morons like this are so far gone, there's just no coming back. You can't de-program this kind of insanity.
In time, people will move away from Trump. No one wants to be associated with a loser.
There seem to be a lot of people who won't see him that way, because they don't want to believe he lost. He's more like a martyr to them. I guess you're right when you say "in time" but it might take five or ten years.

Nixon didn't have the cult of personality that Trump has, and Trumps approval rating has never dipped below the mid 30's
He also might actually run again in 2024, provided he's not in prison or has fled the country by then. Dude is facing a gazillion lawsuits and investigations as soon as Jan. 21st rolls around, so who knows that will happen. At the very least, he'll be in the news constantly over the next several years, unfortunately.

Also if he immediately starts the 2024 campaign he can claim he is being persecuted by political enemies if he faces charges for anything.

A New York Times report indicates that Rudy Giuliani, U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has spoken with Trump about giving him a pre-emptive pardon before the end of the president’s term.
The Times, citing two sources familiar with the contents of the discussion, reports that as of yet Trump has not indicated what course of action he may take.
The Times reports that just what, if anything, Giuliani may be facing in terms of criminal charges is not certain. Last year federal prosecutors investigated him over his business in Ukraine, and the removal of the U.S. ambassador to that country.
“He’s not concerned about this investigation, because he didn’t do anything wrong and that’s been our position from Day 1,” Robert Costello, his lawyer, told the Times.
Neither Giuliani nor Trump responded to the Times’ requests for a response. Giuliani posted to Twitter, though, that the story was incorrect. He wrote Tuesday:
“#FakeNews NYT lies again. Never had the discussion they falsely attribute to an anonymous source. Hard to keep up with all their lies.”
This continues to be exhausting and extremely depressing to follow. The fact that the conservatives can get away with spewing rhetoric designed to insight violence is not only dangerous, but bordering on an act of sedition. I tried to unplug for a few days and returned to an even worse situation than before the Thanksgiving break. Something needs to be done to shut these sources down and let the perpetrators know this is not speech protected by the constitution, that this is an act of terror and will be treated as such. Unfortunately, that would require strong leadership and someone sane in the halls of government or justice. We're ####ed and this is going to end in something very bad.
