Granted, I should be clear. I don't believe him.

I think he made an offer that he either knew would be refused and/or there is a hedge where his show would have to pick it up....and/or he knows for certain either won't or cannot be accepted.

Thought about that too

Pretty darn likely the offer could never be accepted

There could be some fine print in the contract he waved around

But he makes 8 m a year, so I’m sure he could afford the 1 he is offering, without having to do standup tours

But yeah, the offer for CT is probably not worth accepting, it’s probably worth less than his other unofficial benefits, and obviously the fallout from accepting it

Man I’d love to see that, though

I watch a lot of the motorcoach YouTube videos of those $2m units and they are pretty sick. I would love to have one of those and just live as a nomad in that thing.

You got me on the Trump sneakers you sneaky bastard.

I was chatting with one of my clients who moved from Calgary to New Zealand and...suffice it to say, a good chunk of the locals are none too happy about rigging the 'Greatest Bird' vote.

Which, I'm not going to lie, makes it even funnier to me.

Ilgar!! That was fantastic!

I mean...its a nice light way to deflect from some serious and heavy discussion about the Death Penalty which I dont think should be ignored, but....ILGAR!

The dogs in slo-mo made me laugh so hard.

That was such a heavy show. American politicians seem to really get their kicks out of killing people regardless of whether it is constitutional or not. Freedom!!!

I dont want to get into it too much because the Death penalty is a heavily charged topic on both sides and theres merit to some of it and most of it is BS and I dont think Politicians fully delve into the downstream effects of it all.

But what really does unnerve me is that the people in charge of these literally 'life or death' decisions seem like absolute idiots.

Which is pretty much the primary reason the death penalty should be abolished

I think theres a lot of reasons that the Death Penalty should be abolished, but that is definitely one of them.

Its such a heavily charged topic, but I think the things I dislike the most is the concept of 'how much it costs to house inmates' especially on Death Row. In my mind thats not really a valid argument nor should it really be taken into consideration.

As well as, 'its a deterrent against Violent Crime' which is an argument that I think is equally invalid. I dont think the Death Penalty deters crimes, I think you have to examine the root underlying causes that lead to that type of behaviour.

I certainly understand the 'Revenge' element of it, but I don't think thats particularly useful either.

And then theres the 'Political Grandstanding' element which is "We're TOUGH on crime!!" which I also do not buy whatsoever.

All you need to know about the US obsession with the death penalty can be learned from going to church and watching westerns.
