I missed out on CBDT by a few cents around the 35 cent range because I got greedy and tried to wait on a drop. I felt that what they were doing fundamentally made sense in the 30s and still makes sense now as a medium to longer term hold. I nabbed some at 99 cents today. Better late than never.
I don't feel like they will be as impacted when Covid is over than what others are predicting, but even if it's impacted, I think there's still bank to be made at the $1 range.

I had set a buy order for this morning for 0.47 that got filled. In for the ride, but not a huge amount.

I bought my first call option on Monday, expires today. just a small test with 1 contract that cost $165 for the premium.
It's bad today, do I need to do anything to "not buy or not act on it"? I am willing to lose my premium and not act on buying the shares.
Been on hold with my bank for 4 hours... 9 minutes left today in the market.

If its below the strike price you can't execute it anyhow. If you're above the strike price then just sell the contract rather than execute it.

strike was $27.50, its at $22 today.
So, I can just leave it be? I definitely am just trying to avoid buying it over market price.

What's its current value 0.01? with bid at 0.00 and ask at 0.01? It's worthless at this point. Shame it wasn't a put, you'd have almost a 5 bagger. Welcome to degenerate options gambling, it's extremely difficult to do well.

If you want to dip your toes on options, buy the contract at whatever direction you think its going late in the day of expiry. You avoid the theta burn and you can get a decent idea of what its all about. It should always be basically at the current strike and you take whatever side you think.

My crystal ball said it was going to go up!
tough week for the big red days.
I am looking to get into call options, as it actually adds more protection than some of my equity purchases.

Put options are what someone would buy to hedge the downside on their long equity positions. If you have long equity and are buying calls you're increasing your exposure to the same position.

PLTR and SPCE are buy now prices...
I loaded my long term with both.
Min 60 and 70 upside inside 3 months imo.

Cult midcaps are my specialty, and I have a very high degree of confidence in this setup.
Not even having anything to do w the fundamentals and sentiment either, which are strong. Growth sector, government contracts, Cathie just loaded TWICE on the dips this week.
Yea, she's going to 70. I think within 3 months. I'm not a financial advisor though, so mind your risk and size if you jump in. We are just coming out of market weakness, but into a high probability melt up, with 3 months left to summer

What's the pulse on crypto right now? Bought in Friday. My first buy in a crypto play... a few years too late but hopefully some tread left on those tires.

Owning a call option is exactly equivalent to having a long equity position with a protective put.
