To HD:

I think in the chat Parker said that they purposely killed the people you were targeting early in the game to make you look like mafia

It almost worked but your suspicions of starseed saved you I think. Kinda funny looking back

Yeah...I'm not sure what Mazrim has planned for next game but I will be looking forward to reading along.

Maybe I will feel differently after a couple weeks though, these games are addicting.

Yeah we picked up on that too, and that's why we always talked about HD having disputes with players who mysteriously died.

I will admit that some of the kills that we made were built around the idea of causing suspicion and dissent.

As well some of the kills like Agulati were just fun.

Poor guy, tripped over his tongue and got hung by it.

Congrats to everyone and thanks to Mazrim for another entertaining game!

UCB, I thought for sure you had it! Ah well, not the first time a man has let his ego get the best of him haha. Great game though!

I hope to dip my toe in the scummy waters should there be a third rendition. My lurker thread-leading 2/8 mafia guesses should come in handy haha.

Thanks again Mazrim! Was a lot of fun!!!!

I really didn't play a great game, my posting style and lack of insightful posts made me really suspicious. Although the only person who caught on was Hockeyguy15, he read right through me and saw me for the scum I was.

Yeah, I want to know why I was killed the first night after an accidental (I swear) post lying about thanking posts.

Absolutely fantastic game. Got messy at the end, but still a great deal of fun. Thanks Mazrim!!

I feel like if DropIt didn't have the hammer vote, I might have just barely staved off my execution for a little while. However, dissent would probably have investigated me anyway. Also, I felt that it was becoming obvious that he was the cop when he started talking about his about-face on Rathji. I was surprised to see that he did not investigate CC even though he was advocating his lynch well before his reveal.

I agree that the Day One vigilante kill was hilarious. Probably the early play of the game. lol

I had Barrow pegged before I died, and was hoping the town would hunt CC and completely, leaving DropIt to do the night killing for barrow. In hindsight, the hunt for the Doc/Cop took too long, and it distracted us from taking out ineed, as well as reinforced the idea of leaving the doctor alive while searching for the cop.

Before I exited, I was convinced that Aenaes was the doctor, and Oling was the cop. I think that influenced those bad night kills.

Oh well, good game guys. I look forward to the next, where I will definitely be town. Definitely.

We thought you were a player in terms of having a role, you fooled us.

Going through the mafia thread:

Me at 6:19ET June 1st
Quote:
I dont think we will be lucky enough to have a Barrow mafia guy claim to be the vigilante. If he did, we would easily be rid of both the vigilante, and a rival mafia (because he will be instantly proven to be a liar when ineedanother gets killed). Lets just let him be the guy that the doctor has to protect while we keep the officer in hiding as we search out the officer and doctor.
CC 20 minutes later in the other mafia thread:
Quote:
This could be an amazing lie. I was almost tempted to step forward and say, how can you be the vigilant when I'm the vigilant.
bwahaha :P

Hmm, tit for tat? Should we take CC's offer up and declare a truce with barrow while we hunt for the cop and doc?

So after CBL offed himself, I PM'd him on Diablo 3 with the following...

I thought Baxter was lying about being the doc and he was mafia. Kermit went after him hard with things like "Cop out" and a few "liars", which to me seemed like a signal he was trying to give to the rest of the town that HE (Kermit) was the cop and knew Baxter wasn't the doc. Totally wrong on that one!

Thought after the first FIVE posts that flameswin was mafia (five quick posts to buff his postcount then virtually nothing for quite a while), and nothing throughout the game led me to believe differently. Just a truly odd and unhelpful game, IMHO.

Picked CC as mafia and that Lego was town, and these were right.

Picked UCB as mafia more on a hunch than anything else (something just wasn't right about his posts), but that was right too.

So 2 for 4 for mafia picks at that point.

Thanks for setting another one up Mazrim! As a lurker, I enjoyed it.

Was a great game, a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

I played pretty bad in the beginning, such a shock being the one playing rather than just watching from outside.
