Glad to see the Backlund experiment over at least for the start of the game. It's just so clear what this roster is missing.

If the flames cant show up for the next 3 games this team needs to be dismantled. Tired of the mental fragility of this team.

I'd rather win 8 of 10 and lose both games to the Oilers. Losing a season but taking solace in beating a rival is the kind of victory the Oilers (i.e perennial losers) enjoy.

His original post was just Talbot being in so I posted the full lineup next. Then he edited the original post with a few other tweets.

Hoping that the curse of the 2019 all star break has officially been lifted and the flames can go back to being their pre 2019 all star break selves. It has been a brutal calendar year as a flames fan so let's right that wrong!

Really? Because if you told me the Flames are winning 8 of the next 10 games with two losses to the Oilers in that span, I'd take that with a smile on my face. At some point, it has to be more than just beating Edmonton.

Yup,
I agree, it will sting to lose to them but if we win 8 of 10 I'll be extremely happy.

I watch this team so they can win the cup, not beat a crap team from Edmonton.

I kind of like the roster move, keep fresh blood in there. It isn't like Rieder has been so good that he can't play or we will lose.

Give Buddy a shot, the team has to experiment before the trade deadline, what if one of the guys in our organization catches fire and we don't need to make a big trade. We will see.

This is a big test tonight, playing the defending champs after a long break at home, I hope they come out flying.

Oh, I am all for giving Buddy a shot, just don't want to leave in the guy who has clearly been our worst player all season.
