PL statement.
Quote:
"This is a collective decision from the police, both clubs, the Premier League and local authorities.
"The security and safety of everyone at Old Trafford remains of paramount importance.
"We understand and respect the strength of feeling but condemn all acts of violence, criminal damage and trespass, especially given the associated Covid-19 breaches.
"Fans have many channels by which to make their views known, but the actions of a minority seen today have no justification.
"We sympathise with the police and stewards who had to deal with a dangerous situation that should have no place in football.
"The rearrangement of the fixture will be communicated in due course."
|
United statement.
Quote:
Following discussion between the Police, The Premier League, Trafford Council and the clubs, our match against Liverpool has been postponed due to safety and security considerations around the protest today. Discussions will now take place with the Premier League on a revised date for the fixture.
Our fans are passionate about Manchester United, and we completely acknowledge the right to free expression and peaceful protest.
However, we regret the disruption to the team and actions which put other fans, staff, and the police in danger. We thank the police for their support and will assist them in any subsequent investigations.

At least he didn't blame it all on Pogba (yet...).

No idea. Guessing a garbage piece for clicks based on Keane's comments yesterday. Would love to see him in a United jersey. Only thing against him is he doesn't solve the rw issue.

I just watched the insufferable idiot.
The man that deliberately tried to incite a full on riot in Istanbul ranting about a beer can whilst totally missing the point.
Credit to Carragher, Neville and Keane.

Leicester down 2-0 at half-time against Newcastle. Their last three fixtures are United, Chelsea (both away) and Tottenham ... they better take something from this game or they could miss out on top 4 yet again.

Leicester-Spurs on the final day with top four on the line would easily be the chokiest game that ever choked.

Couldn’t be worse than an already relegated Newcastle on the last day to drop to third in 2016 though. At least not for us!

I mean I would think losing tens of millions of dollars when you desperately need to rebuild your squad, nevermind needing it to keep Kane and Son, would be far worse than losing a match that was essentially for pride, but what do I know?

Newcastle fans becoming the embodiment of the Wario "I've won....but at what cost?" meme. Newcastle have been on quite a run since it seemed like Bruce was guaranteed to get sacked.

Leicester are done in the CL imo
I dont even think they come down to final day,
63 - Leicester are united, chelsea, spurs
56 - Spurs have leeds, wolves, villa, leicester
54 - Liverpool have saints, united, west brom, palace, Burnley
58 - West ham have Everton, brighton, west brom, saints
If liverpool can beat united I think they can get at least 3 other wins
West ham would need to get past everton and Brighton, if they can they have a big chance
Spurs win tomorrow and they will think they can beat villa and wolves
I think 1 of those 3 things definitely happens

Even chelsea, and they do have the cl route in the final too
But man city, arsenal, leicester, villa
They are only at 61
I could easily see them beating villa, losing to city, and drawing the other 2. Thay only gets them to 66
Also liverpool getting united on 2 days left is verrrrrry interesting...
What it means is, it should be a really exciting last 3 weeks

Welcome to management!

And Rotherham getting it done leading at Cardiff.
Derby/Sheff Wed drawing which will send both down.
Edit
Cardiff with the equalizer.
Sheff Wed leading makes them safe
Edit 3-3. Derby now staying up

Sheffield Weds goes in front!
Edit: Derby level, gonna be an intense final 10.
Double edit: Cardiff score! Chaos!
