Default Your all-time favourite top 6 forwards
What is your dream top 6 forward core?

Not necessarily players who were the very best but who were your favourite players in which you watched them throughout their careers and cheered for them?

For me:

Theo Fleury-Joe Sakic-Jarome Iginla
Peter Forsberg-Mario Lemieux-Jaromir Jagr

I’d say Jagr is probably the latest add to my list. I used to hate he wore a Jofa helmet back in the day and somewhat resented him for it but as I got older I respected his uniqueness and he started to become one of my favs. Playing in Philly (my team in the East) and obviously coming here only strengthened it.

Before Sutter got here the Avalanche were my second favourite team and I became a die hard fan cause the Flames had no hopes of making the playoffs and I loved Sakic and Roy. As much as I’ve always liked Shanahan the residual hate for the Wings would never allow me to select him in an exercise like this.

I consider Mario to be the most talented player to ever play, all be it not quite the greatest, as he had the size, the RH shot and all the skill in the world. Outside of health issues he was the whole package.

Theo and Iginla are pretty self explanatory.

Cammalleri - Crosby - Iginla
Tkachuk - Giroux - Briere

Talk about dominant when it matters most. These guys would win any playoff series.

(This is a line of legendary gentleman [OK, maybe Maurice wasn't exactly a gentleman] leaders from my two favourite teams.)

Vladimir Krutov - Igor Larionov - Sergei Makarov

( KLM line. Nothing more needs to be said. Legends.)

Honourable mentions:

Alexander Ovechkin - Pavel Datsyuk - Pavel Bure

(This would be, I think, a very well balanced line consisting of the three most dynamic Russian players of the modern era.)

Ville Niemenen - Wayne Gretzky - Jaromir Jagr

(Figured I would help my boy Ville pad his stats a bit - and I legitimately loved Wayne [I know, I know] and Jaromir as players).

Robitaille - Yzerman - Jagr
Lemieux - Nieuwendyk - Iginla

I always though Yzerman and Robitaille would have been a great pair in their primes and add a player like Jagr and you've got a great trio.

Nieuwendyk and Iginla are my two favorite Flames of all time. Put Lemieux with them, my favorite non Flame. You can add me to the list of people who thought he had the most talent ever. Maybe you'd put Nieuwy on the wing of that line instead of Mario.
