Wow, that's weird. He admitted to it, so we'll see what the context was, but you're right, it's nowhere in the media yet, which is very odd. Pure speculation, but the fact that he admitted to it probably says it wasn't the creeper angle (which is a sigh of relief if true).

Anyway, I'll go one win up from my earlier in the off-season prediction and say that the Jays are good for 77 wins this year. Main concerns are: the outfield (which in time will be addressed, so it's not a long term concern); how the Jays star prospects adjust to other teams adjustments on them; and SP and RP durability. I like the fact that the infield looks more or less settled for the future. If Montoya can manage his pitchers this year without over thinking, I think they should be good for close to 80 wins.

Well it is now... in the media I mean.

I really hope he just taking a ill-advised leak at an inopportune time and not something that will land him on a sex offender registry. Seriously, why can't we just have nice things (Like enviable catching depth).

Yeah, hoping for some sort of public urination on this one, and some passerby just caught a glimpse of his Reese's pieces.

In other news, it sounds like Pillar is close to signing with the Red Sox.

So, he was apparently masturbating in his SUV parked in the middle of a busy parking lot in the middle of a Friday afternoon.

Really Reese?

I guess he is a deviant. Just not in the context of a terrible one. Such a dumb thing to do. A normal person wouldn’t be doing that in public. C’mon man.

Well sounds relatively harmless but hella embarrassing. The clubhouse is going to have a field day with that one.

Based on what we've heard I'm 50-50 on whether this is a career killer for him...

I think his only option is to apologize profusely to the court, enter voluntary counselling, and ask for mercy. If he does that then maybe he can get off (no pun intended) with just a fine and avoid being put on a sex offender registry... and if that happens then I don't think he loses his chance at an MLB career (but he better have thick skin because ohhhh boy will he be the butt of so many jokes).

Oh no doubt, I mean seriously the odds that he doesn't show up and find something like a rubber chicken in his stall with a note saying "please don't choke me" is pretty low (and that's if they want to be nice about it).

Are we talking mall parking lot or school parking lot here? Just how deviant is this?

It was a parking lot at a strip mall.

If he can't control himself enough to not jack off in a parked car in a supposedly busy parking lot, you have to wonder what other skeletons he has in his closet.

I also wonder how much longer he'll be a Blue Jay. Rogers likes to distance themselves from this kind of deviant behavior.

Borucki has been shut down with elbow tightness.

We're off to a great start so far in this spring training.

When I first started following the Jays in the mid 80s he was one of the reasons. He was so smooth in the field. RIP

I was a tad too young to remember his prime in the mid 80’s but loved watching him play on his second go around with the Jays. In 98(99?) when he hit lights out for the first half of the season and made the All Star team was especially memorable. One of the all time great Jays for sure.

I loved Glass and that iteration of the Blue Jays in the 80’s. It was like he held the bat with the lightest touch of his fingertips.

Rest in peace Tony.
