Yes today.
But it could be closer one day. It's only been 28 years. Again, small steps.

lol - Should be one yellow card for each team as that US foul by Ertz was just as egregious as the Dutch.

Its not. Furthermore, talking about 'Goalposts' you're talking about one Country.
There is one country. In the World. Whose Women's team generated more revenue than their men's team. Once.
Yeah, the entire pay structure should be totally revamped. Rapinoe should make as much money as Messi.
Get 'er done Yoho.

Absolutely in a league the pay is different.
But I can see in a tournament and how the national federation divides the money being more equal.

The commentator seems more entertained and intrigued by this game than I am.

First match I see, but that’s the worst penalty kick call I’ve ever seen in the VAR era. Total BS

That's a penalty in the VAR world. There is no nuance like we humans are used to.

I think that's a penalty all day long? To me, that's why we have VAR.

Nah, the ball was lost (going out of play). Morgan was never going to control it and went down.
That said, this US team is amazing.

The US player walks right into the leg of the defender with no chance of getting to the ball. Call me biased but I don’t see a PK in that.

I guess it leads to the debate on whether every foul in the box is a PK. But that's a foul, without question.

It's a crappy call, but this could be 4 or 5-0 without Veenendaal. Netherlands did well to make the final, but they are clearly overmatched here.

We had no chance before the final even started.
That’s 0 and 4 for Dutch teams in WC finals.
National trauma.

Very poor call, in fact against the very nature of the game. It tore the heart out of the Dutch team and made it clear that VAR is a failure. That being said it was a great excuse to turn off the TV, go outside and play basketball with my son.

Congrats to the best team in the world. They truly deserve to win and I think it’s cool the attention that team is getting.

It’s probably a foul, by the rules, but it happens after the ball is already gone, and there wasn’t anything too dangerous about that play. Morgan looks like she dives a bit at the end too.
That shouldn’t be awarded with a 90% chance of a goal.

But now you are talking nuance and VAR cant do that. It has to be black and white. There is no rule that says an offense in the box has to be more legit than one outside. Humans just managed the game that way in the past.
If I kick the ball past you and chase it and you block me, VAR cant determine if I kicked it 1 yard past you or 20 yards past you with no hope of getting it.
Soccer is played by con-artists. They spent 100 years trying to con the ref, now they will spend the next 100 years conning VAR.

The game really needs to grow beyond US, Canada and Europe. 47% of all registered female players are from US and Canada, 44% are from Europe. Only 9% are registered in other countries.
