And Principe is a terrible interviewer. It's one thing to use a bubbly goofy cadence in one of your childish intros, it's another when you're asking serious questions in an interview format.

Yeah, he's a straight goof ball and even in his interviews he comes off as goofy.

I don't know what SN sees in these guys.

Is the right answer 'all of them'?

His little skits are painful and unfunny, it must be Edmonton humor.

I wouldn't trade our broadcast team for their broadcast team, and I know winning.

Biggest BOA in nearly (over?) a decade this Saturday. Past the mid-season and both teams in a playoff spot

Yup, and the one next week will be big too. Kind of sad they only play 4 times this year.

Yeah, those little skits are painfully unfunny, reminds me of someone else, but I can't put my finger on it

That is another thing that really annoys me about the questions he has. Almost every interview I have seen he asks the opponents a question to try and validate McDavid's greatness or how awesome the Oilers are. Sometimes I wish Roenick was around just to give the answer we all want to hear. Who gives a F.

Let's hope the Oilers pay him a bunch. This is the exact scenario you want if you're an Oilers hater. McDavid props a guy up to a career year, they pay him big bucks and then try to use him to prop up a different line and realize the mistake they've made.

Oiler fans are banking on all of these players taking some kind of home town discount for the glory of playing in Edmonton and with McDavid.

Its unlikely that its going to happen. But if Maroon keeps popping 30 there's no way he's not cashing in for his final relevant payday. Even with a home town discount he's asking for 3.5 to 4 million dollars.

With McDavid there's no way that he doesn't become the top wage earner in the NHL at some point in that contract, and likely two years in, and I believe that's about 14 million. So even if they sign him to a deal to get him there over 8 years like

10 mill
10 mill
12 mill
12 mill
14 mill
14 mill
14 mill
14 mill

That puts him at a bit over 12.

I believe that he will probably at the least get 4.5, he's pretty much the future of your blueline and if you want any kind of length you're paying him for potential.

If I wear my jersey to the game this Saturday in Edmonton do you think I will end up with beer dumped on me or is it usually pretty light hearted?

Best defense is a good offense. Spill beer on everyone around you in an Oilers jersey before they even get a chance.

To take it further to the best defense is a good offense. As you're walking to your seat wearing your Flames Jersey, whisper very loudly, preferably with a megaphone to whoever your sitting with. "I have never seen so many mullet headed, inbread drunken hillbillies in my life. But they certainly do wear sweatpants and dress shoes well. But it doesn't matter because their hockey team has all of the competitiveness of a dead rat"

You see, science says that nobody can survive the inverse compliment sandwhich very well. (Insult-compliment-insult). If you do this they will sit in a fog induced coma caused by you exploding the three cell collections that they call brains up there for the rest of the game.
