Missed the match watching football but it sounds like it was a close match. Considering the level of Diego at the moment I think this is a very positive tourney for Shap.

The French Open does have qualifying rounds and both Brayden Schnur and Steven Diez won their first round qualifying matches. Peter Polansky's first qualifying match is on Tuesday.
